That's right Hikari, I did expect her to reject Yuu in one way or another.

Disagree; she only acts because she's not able to fight her self-perception of her being trash. She ditches Yuu because she doesn't believe she's worthy of being happy with him knowing what shes going to do to her mother's marriage. One counter. Swap thinking and acting. While the original cause of her thinking she’s trash is not her actions, those actions reinforce it. She has to stop acting like trash in order to stop thinking it. It’s why these cycles are so difficult to break.
You got a good idea at the core there: Hikari is going to have to deal with the fact Ta-kun is a flawed human, and would have to deal with it eventually. Then her dream was a delusion from the start. She’s throwing away the boy she loves because her PERFECT boyfriend-to-be would have run to her (when they were just friends) and told her all about having sex with a sad weirdo who made him feel bad about himself. Seems like something he was allowed to keep private, but not in Hikari land!
Yep agreed while I think most of their points and reasonings are valid I think there conclusion is unfairYeah i just cant agree with this tho.
Yuu absolutely should have done better in this whole situation, but saying he doesnt deserve forgiveness is just a bit too far for me.
Especially since we still doesnt know the real reason of why Yuu has been lying/keeping secrets from Hikari.
Like if for example we find out in a couple of chapters real reason why Yuu was lying/keeping secrets was so that he can still have a chance at both Hikari and Yami then i would immediately join your side.
But i am always of the belief that real reason why he is lying/keeping the relationship a secret from Hikari is all linked back to him and his feelings towards her.
Like when he started dating Yami, he still hangs out with Hikari (as per the novel) but he didnt tell her about him dating another girl. Why? I genuinely believe because he still hasnt fully move on from Hikari and telling her about it would absolutely change their relationship (they could stop hanging out etc.)
What Yuu had done so far is stupid and he should have just been honest from the start about everything, but i just think he still deserve forgiveness. Granted he needs to be fully honest with Hikari from now on to be someone that deserve that forgiveness.
F**k those ratings, this manga is peak drama.Lmao I didn't notice the score is in 6.11 already![]()
Also thinking on this some more, this was the Aya/Yuu relationship. Both kept things private, avoided elephants, and it wasn't enough for either of them. He didn't fall out of love with Hikari, she didn't take him along when she probably most needed him.Seems like something he was allowed to keep private, but not in Hikari land!
Hikari has a lot of gall "hating liars" given her behavior. Yami isn't completely out of pocket given her home life but she's been acting out to push people away and hurt them so they'll leave her.I don't think there will be any romance in the finale. Both girls' behavior is understandable and forgivable. However the guy is sucks. He is not honest and thoughtful, like how can you kiss with your ex and then confess someone else. Don't you think she deserves to know that??? By the way, his best friend doesn't even know that he dated a girl for a while. He never told her.
Possible happy ending for this manga: 2 girls who are happy with their friendship and 1 loser.
Seems about rightAlso thinking on this some more, this was the Aya/Yuu relationship. Both kept things private, avoided elephants, and it wasn't enough for either of them. He didn't fall out of love with Hikari, she didn't take him along when she probably most needed him.
Aya is still worse for me.Which I may be the odd person out but I think Yuu's behavior towards Hikari is way worse than Aya's b/c they've been friends for so long while Aya is new to the friendship thing. Like @Litreara said, to Hikari it indicates that he doesn't trust what her reaction would be to news of his relationship, and Aya has so many better reasons to have that lack of trust.
Agreed; if he puts down the shovel and stops digging, comes clean about what happened and why, his actions to this point are understandable under "I love you, didn't think you felt about me the same way, and didn't want you think less of me and say no" especially given Hikari's reaction & mini-freakout just now (not saying its without justification). But yeah that's just my 2 cents I think most of your points and critisms of him are fair but disagree with the conclusion of deeming him "unforgivable"
Aya backstory went on far, far too long.F**k those ratings, this manga is peak drama.
My guess will be Hikari and Yuu eventually make up after this conflicting, but the winning girl will be Yami in the end.We need to start taking bets on how this series ends.
1. No one ends up with anyone.
2. Yuu ends up with Yami.
3. Yuu ends up with Hikari.
4. Hikari ends up with Yami.
5. Yuu, Hikari and Yami are a throuple.
6. Hikari ends up with Yami's mom.
7. Hikari was one of Yami's stepdad's cheating partners and we get a 30+ chapter flashback on how this whole series was orchestrated by her all along. "IT WAS ME, YAMI I JERKED YOU OFF AT SUPER SPEED!!"
I know this is so far off topic but she's absolutely right - telling her once the wedding is booked was basically hoping she'd sweep it under the rug cause of sunk cost fallacy. It's a way for him to have come clean but hopefully backed her into a corner where he won't suffer the consequences. Like she would have been more likely to forgive him if he'd have told her like a year in or immediately.I had a coworker who was due to be married to a lady he'd been dating for 5+ years, ever since college. Early in the relationship, while they were still in college, they had a fight and he had been angry, gone to a party, and cheated on her. With the wedding planned and booked, he had decided to come clean.
Her response was, in short, to call off the wedding, blame him for telling her to 'ease his own guilt about it', "If you were actually sorry you'd have just taken that to your grave", and cut him completely out of her life.
In what way?Btw I think these past 3 chapters have actually been a step up personally
Yep, still so much we dont know as you said.Yep agreed while I think most of their points and reasonings are valid I think there conclusion is unfair
There is still far too much we don't know about his reasonings and emotions and too much we haven't seen we're essentially working with an incomplete puzzle for him
There's nothing that can fully justify his behavior in my opinion but it's far from being to the point of him being unforgivable and not deserving of a chance to try and fix things and better himself
I agree and understand it but I'm also borderline traumatized by a couple of bosses who strongly believed in hiding things that would invariably blow up, cause everyone talks to each other, in ways where the most new to the situation people would get hit with the most shrapnel.my theory its just Yuu and his stupid brain thinking it would affect his relationship and/or chance with Hikari, had Yuu tell Hikari about his past relationship etc.
