Did you miss the part where skills are fixed by your class? A swordsman can't typically learn magic skills, so what point is there in having a sword that can transform into a staff? That "Worthless" logic is so fucking stupid I just can't grasp it. Why wouldn't a swordsman, who uses a swordsman skill, not want a sword? Even if you use a skill from another class, like let's say a magic swordsman using like fireball and then you have a staff, why not use another swordsman skill and get your sword back. I can't imagine that amongst the strongest having to burn a little magic or stamina to quick swap the weapon forms is even a downside.
Probably because using sword as weapon is better for swordman than shapeshifting weapon, in terms of its primary focus as a weapon. Beside magic swordman is swordman that can use magic, so their main weapon is still sword and other hybrid class definitely have their intended primarily weapon. As for switching weapon, considering Rione have skill that can slash ten thousand times in a moment, for higher class and level switching weapon for a moment can be deadly, while for lower class and level switching weapon mid battle most likely just cumbersome. That "Worthless" logic is so fucking stupid I just can't grasp it. Set up here is that it changes based on the skill and we know Cross has error skills, so what the fuck is gonna happen to the weapon when it gets Cross'd up.
He doesn't need friends, he has wives....Cross needs to find himself some better friends.

Okay this makes much more sense, the opportunity cost didn't cross my mind. Yes the weapon is strong and scales to the user, but when other weapons that exist have things like cheat like abilities and massive boosts towards their users as bland as form shifting would be the "worst".Did you miss the part where skills are fixed by your class? An archer can't learn sword skills, so what point is there in a bow that can turn into a sword? Or gauntlets that can turn into a bow for a martial artist?
For everyone with an actual class, it's just a self-repairing weapon that eats other weapons, but has absolutely zero skills of its own. As a swordsman, which would you rather have? A sword that boosts your reaction speed and shoots lightning bolts or a sword that you have to buy other weapons to repair?
Hybrid classes like magic swordsmen can sorta make use of it, but it can only be a sword or a staff, not both at the same time, which defeats the purpose of being a magic swordsman.

Nah, you need to take the manga's genre into consideration. It'll turn into a woman and try to seduce Cross.God. It’ll become God
