On another note, Eiji’s mum is good for protecting her son, but when you try and push an apology away (ie, acknowledge it, you don’t have to accept it but at least allow her to apologise), bad shit happens cause they spiral and make increasingly irrational decisions. She’s a teenage girl, people make mistakes. I mean this was a pretty bad mistake ngl but you still use a mistake to teach people. With some people that requires heavy handling but with someone with this much will to better themselves it is better to accept now, and the harshness comes later.

Also page 27 I think there's a mistake, it says "I wasn't the one who cheated", maybe it's meant to be "I wasn't the one cheated on"? Since it makes no sense for her to say "I wasn't the one who cheated" since she literally was the one who cheated.

I´m agree. In this moment Mrs Aono has all the right to send Miyuki to the hell. If Miyuki wants to jump from a bridge, is not already Eiji mother´s problem or responsibility.
Curiously, Ai is more interesting. She has a scene when:

She impedes Miyuki attempts to suicide, but only because she knows this will affect Eiji and will leave Ai as the villain in the school. Ai practically says she herself will throw Miyuki to the abyss if make that would help Eiji.
Miyuki deserves it, of course, but I like how Ai is as ruthless as Tachibana, she is a perfect anti-heroine, she follows the rules and laws because is convenient for her, not because she really would be a compassive person as Eiji really does, even now.
Eiji doesn´t deserves it, but Ai deserves see Miyuki commiting suicide before her like one of those endings of School Days. Ai is not a good person and this is the reason why she is so cool -and also why she needs Eiji too, only he can avoid her becaming other Tachibana in the future-

that's not quite true she's willing to be good to those good to her or those who did not cross her, but will be very harsh to those who do. while Eiji is more of a do unto others as you want them to do unto you. Ai is do unto others what they have done unto you.

All this after her father cheated on her mother, she witnessed first-hand the negative effects it had on their lives, and Eiji and his family were there to help her heal. And she repays him/them with this despicable betrayal?! She's lucky gigabased Mom isn't turning her into mincemeat, sweeping her garbage ass up, and then tossing her in the dumpster with the rest of the trash.

that's only because Eiji's mother is doing it out of consideration for Miyuki's mother. She understands that Miyuki's mother who has gone through the same thing in the past would be more harsh than she can ever be towards Miyuki.

Sure... i think it was Ai who noticed that Kondo had someone else behind him. Can't really remember how, someone else can add to this since a bunch of here read the WN. Anyway she is exposed thanks to Hayashi, a girl from the same club that was Eiji's friend, and the only one that truly apologized for believing the rumors (he forgives her, since she did nothing wrong, and she pretty much becomes Ai's best friend). Tachibana even tried attacking Hayashi but Eiji's best friend Satoshi saved her. She is arrested alongside Kondo, and is awaiting trial. She is still not accepting her demise but deep down she knows her future is ruined. Even her lawyer is belittling her, as he knows he has no chance in saving her lol

What's gonna happen to Miyuki's mom?

She has a breakdown after she found out what Miyuki did, and then ended up in the hospital after i think she overworked herself. There she destroys Miyuki with words, "your not my daughter anymore" stuff like that, and even slaps her for the first time in her life. A big part in this is the fact that her Mom is a single parent, her Husband, Miyuki's Dad did the same thing she did, left her for someone else.
Now the sad part is that Mom will also lose everything, Eiji's Mom told her she is going to sue them after finding out about the bullying.
She is okay with that, even accepting that she will sell their house if needed to pay them, since this is a punishment her daughter deserved.

As of the latest chapter she is still in the hospital. We haven't heard about her in some time now...

Don't forget, this is Japan. Way more harsher laws when it comes to bullying and almost driving someone to suicide. I also thought it was a bit over the top while reading the WN but then decided to look it up a bit... I was genuinely surprised to learn how this stuff is seen in their country.

I get what you’re saying but the mother has no reason to do that for the girl and has more reason to NOT do that.

So the mother accepting the apology and trying to help the girl get better could easily be seen as a betrayal to Eiji and ultimately make the mother herself not a safe person to Eiji, this would be terrible for everyone especially Eiji since he is already so close to the edge.

At this point the only reason Eiji’s mother is kind to the girl is because of the girls own mother who was herself cheated on by the girls father (a literal you should know better moment).
