IT'S BEEN A WHILE, APPARENTLY THE PUBLISHING COMPANY OF THIS SERIES WENT THROUGH SOMETHING, THAT'S WHY THERE'S BEEN NO UPLOAD FOR A WHILE AND AFTER THAT THE AUTHOR DECIDED TO CUT 1 CHAPTER INTO 4 PARTS WHICH WOULD CONVERT INTO .1 AND .2, I'M PLANNING TO WORK ON .2 IN 2 DAYS AS FOR NOW I HAVE TO FINISH A COMMISSION, SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.🙇‍♂️

It’s not excusable, but I kinda get adult Di’s vibe. It’s frustrating when a wunderkind comes out of nowhere and usurps your position, standing, and fiancé (I think, I don’t recall the original premise completely).

What she does from then on is the true test of her character, but considering the title, I’m guessing she failed in the OG storyline.

Why did Di seem surprised that she couldn't answer the exam? Did the game plot force her to become stupid? Is that why she ended up cheating later? :thonk:
Game plot is the meta reason, but for an in-universe reason, I think it's just a simple brain fart brought on by nerves and stress.

She's naturally intelligent and quite talented, so she spent years at the top quite effortlessly; then Little Miss Mary Sue comes in, steals the spotlight completely, and suddenly, she's questioning everything she thought she knew. Is she really as competent as she thought? Is she really as smart as she thought?

Self-doubt is insidious and can lead to a swift loss of self-confidence if not nipped in the bud.

Seems like Cain's accidental tomboyification of di will lead to her becoming total bros with the heroine
nah, the Heroine is isekai'd too (we saw in an earlier ch).

she kinda looked like the stereotypical "selfish heroine isekai" you see in villainess stories too, but we'll have to see how she actually is.
