Going from Mada to Murder is certainly a change...
is it possible this is using AI translation? the constant "Sitoen" to "Shitoen" has been seen in previous chapters too. And now... Murder?
Checked the raws, dude's name is マーダー. This actually makes "Murder" a more accurate romanization (otherwise it would be "Maadaa," not "Mada").

Sitoen's name is, as I expected, シトエン; in Japanese the "si" sound is approximated by シ or "shi." Unless there's an official English translation which gives us the "correct" names in English, "Shitoen" is completely acceptable.

Finally yes, KDT uses AI to translate. Whether they use it 100%, I don't know; what I do know is that they used to advertise that they were recruiting "translators" without experience and that the recruits would be given all the "tools" they would need to translate. Make of that what you will.

Well there's correct Hepburn transliteration, and there's not starting FMC name with shit transliteration (which is also somewhat correct).
I bet author's idea wasn't associating FMC with excrement, so translator (or someone who copies this from chatgpt) could be a little flexible here.

Well sure, but they also most probably weren't writing for a non-Japanese audience in the first place. Why would they care about us and our gaijin sensibilities?

At the end of the day unless the author/publisher gives us her intended name in English we'll just be arguing in circles here. Heck, I wouldn't even be surprised if it turns out her English name is neither "Sitoen" nor "Shitoen"; maybe it's something like "Seton," idk lol.

... Unless there's a novel reader who can confirm if her name the origin/s of her name?
