Even from afar, it's easy to notice a smug Houjou lol
I dunno, all he did was stop a girl from falling over, ask if she was ok, and offer to take the things she was carrying in her place. It was a nice gesture, but he said everything in a completely normal way. Then that somehow turned into him saying “I could never let my precious honey carry something this heavy” entirely inside their own heads. To be fair to his fans, did you saw what he pulled at the start of this chapter? he climbed that pedestal
And is putting up work to remain there, he is just afraid of falling off, and to be fair, he climbed quite high, that fall is bound to be scary, oh shit is he J Cole but handsome!?
Dude, pass me whatever you’re smoking. He’s just trying to be a decent, helpful, friendly person. We literally saw this in this very chapter. Then, when he’s in the privacy of his own home, he lets himself relax and goes back to being lazy and stuff. He's propped up because he's hot (the most important thing) and because he deliberately fakes his personality all the time, so that he gets to be worshipped.
Since that's more important to him than even his brother, his bullshit is even more annoying. He needs to own it up and admit he loves the attention and fawning
See here's the thing i love about this manga: it takes up familiar tropes (prince charming, swooning fans, gynophobia, smug pixie dream girl), plays them up for laughs, deconstructively drives home their logical repercussions, then reconstructs the tropes by giving us peeks into their inner thoughts that humanizes them and makes us better appreciate how they ended up the way they are, while still cashing in on the absurdity of the dichotomy (prince a slob in private yet still genuinely likeable, hardcore fan having perceptive empathy for both the prince and the downtrodden stepladder bro). The only character that have their inner thoughts still opaque is the FMC, and I'm looking forward to how the mangaka would surprise us with her depth of character beyond cute smug transparent playfulness.oh, no. Don't pair poor rei-sama with the craziest of them all.
Yeah, he doesn't seem like the person to deal fine with revelations like thisHmm... so it seems Rei doesn't know why his brother is the way that he is. I wonder what will happen if Rei ever finds out... I think the guilt might crush him.
Is this real life? Or is this just fantasy?
Reckon she's always been pretty perceptive. She was able to figure out Tohno pretty quick, too. I think it's one of her good points! She's a good girl, underneath all that crazy. The big thing here is actually something that nobody's really noticed: Hinagi actually sees Rei. Yes, she's absolutely cuccoo-for-coco-puffs in love with him. But everyone else only sees the idealized vision of himself that he puts forward, and even aggravate the problem with gossip. Meanwhile Hinagi, despite losing brain cells by the second being in his presence, actually notices that "Rei-sama" is feeling down. Despite the fact that he's not putting out any obvious signs.
And then, after that, she recognizes that rather than being this flawless perfect person, even Rei has things he worries and frets about. She's utterly crazy for him, but she also actually sees him. Which sets her apart from the masses and sets up what's likely in store for the future.
Yes i agree. Thanks authorWhat's he gonna do, go up to the girls and say "STOP USING MY LIL BRO"
Well tbh the most he can do is to atleast fix his "prince" persona
But bro we should be grateful that author did not make the brother a rival and he is a supporter and just hope it continue this way
