The development Hinagi needs to give her a chance is to visit Tohno's house and become disillusioned with Rei. Maybe she even stops liking him, but then Rei falls for her...

There is also that other girl who was talking to Rei pretty casually during the sports festival.

God, I love this manga...

Hinagi started out as a cliche protect-her-prince girl, but she's become legitimately hilarious.

The big thing here is actually something that nobody's really noticed: Hinagi actually  sees Rei. Yes, she's absolutely cuccoo-for-coco-puffs in love with him. But everyone else only sees the idealized vision of himself that he puts forward, and even aggravate the problem with gossip. Meanwhile Hinagi, despite losing brain cells by the second being in his presence, actually notices that "Rei-sama" is feeling down. Despite the fact that he's not putting out any obvious signs.

And then, after that, she recognizes that rather than being this flawless perfect person, even Rei has things he worries and frets about. She's utterly crazy for him, but she also actually sees him. Which sets her apart from the masses and sets up what's likely in store for the future.

Her seeing Youta as a person rather than just a stepping stone to Rei was the end of her villain arc. Her seeing Rei as a person is the start of her redemption arc.

If Rei and Hinagi doesn’t someway somehow end up together, I will eat an entire sock raw
he can fix her trust

Thanks for tl
But can she handle his real self, the one that doesn't has cracked reflexes to catch a falling girl with the books she was carrying and then pull a shojo manga prince dialogue!?
Poor guy, cannot be easy to socialize when everyone puts him on pedestal

To be fair to his fans, did you saw what he pulled at the start of this chapter? he climbed that pedestal

And is putting up work to remain there, he is just afraid of falling off, and to be fair, he climbed quite high, that fall is bound to be scary, oh shit is he J Cole but handsome!?

Well, writing is kinda on the wall for a while, but finally, the ship for Hinagi to be Youta's in-law is now in motion? :meguupog:

And it'll be funny dup coz, of Hinagi accepts Rei as he is (and she probably will?) and dynamic between Rei and the shattered/sobered up Hinagi will probably be really funny

Man... I don't think you should bet on that? The odds probably not in your favor...
