As long as there are readable chapters, I don't really care when or how I get them. Thank you for the translation.

Sometimes multiple versions help with my comprehension. If the other group decides to continue, I will read their version too.

You're doing an amazing job for a first-timer, however, you should switch fonts. I recommend either Anime Ace 3 or Letter-O-Matic; both are free to download from Blambot.

I think the only time "sniping" should be frowned upon, is when it's someone literally feeding the raws through MTL and doing zero cleanup, proofreading, redrawing, and so on--all the for purpose of pumping out something that is technically in another language.

And that's not what's happening here, at least from where I'm sitting. And, there's actual value in a person working through the whole process that TL'ing a series involves. If they have a passion for it, and for the series they're working on, it follows that their drive to do something of quality would also come into play. And, the desire to improve and grow that skill set over time.
Yes, this series in particular already has a group working on it. They might be "behind schedule" with the current JPN release, but that doesn't factor into it for me. Neither they nor this current individual appear to be malicious in their actions (that I've personally seen, anyway), and the newer person could be picking up valuable experience and suggestions/advice/critique in how to better the overall quality of what they're producing.
I think constructive criticism from readers is great, in that vein--talking about typefaces, ways to better set text, cleaning/redrawing practices and ways to improve over time. All of that is useful for someone who clearly cares about the series and wants to make something good, and they can take those skills and that advice and apply it going forward.
And, working with established series means their work gets seen, and--ideally--readers can provide feedback on how to improve stuff. Working with an unknown series means less potential overall eyeballs, effectively, and less chances to get quality constructive criticism on how to make the next release better.
Yes, there are those who remain loyal to "their TL team", and I think that's fine too. But in situations like this where neither TL party are acting maliciously, there's a chance for the newcomer to learn, grow their skill set, and then take over their own series/project with better results, and people are now aware of who they are, and can follow them around after the fact if they so choose.

I will always encourage people getting into this scene, even if doubling up on a series, because it means more "enfranchised" people doing TL work for series in the future.
If they're just throwing out MTL slop, kick them to the curb. But I believe in helping those who seem to want to do a great job and who care about the stories and making them available for others to enjoy.

I will say that communication on the part of the newcomer with the "established team" is important--I said the same thing last chapter, but it goes a long way to avoid stepping on toes, or upsetting people. Better to just be clear & up front, and even say "hey, I'm looking to learn and practice, can I use this for that?" can be huge. Honoring the answer received is important as well, of course, but I can't help but imagine that teams doing TL work wouldn't be excited about more people getting into the trade as well. Less overall work and strain for them, and it means more TL'd work for us as readers, going forward.

Being polite and communicative is key, but as long as everyone's passionate about quality TL work, the entire community does benefit in the long run.
The problem with MTL, or low quality translation is because someone who uploads low quality translation can always do it faster than someone who tries to do it right, so there it feels like there's no point in doing the job properly if you can always get sniped by someone who does quick and dirty job.

If the manga is very clearly abandoned (explicit declaration of previous team, or like year of no updates) or never translated in the first place, even lousy MTL would be fine, at this point it's not worse than nothing, and at least it can generate interest.

Also I agree with DerekUlty that multiple translations can result in interesting discussions about accurate meaning of Japanese text, though I can understand that it can feel like a waste for scanlator when most people only discuss the first translation, and ignore your second one.

This shit is trash, senpai is so annoying :shamihuh: but there’s one statment from trash senpai that that should really spark MC feelings of love for Mizudori. yeah, I kinda hope this senpai doesn’t show up again later and mess with MC and Mizudori’s relationship

thank you for translating
On the bright side it seems like his pride was so destroyed by her consistent rejections that he's probably gonna slink away for good. Hope he sticks to a two chapter appearance total

thanks for the translation ! Also, huge respect for contacting the other group and deciding to continue the endeavor. I’m really greatful to you. Take care, and best of luck on the translation! I love the way it feels natural with your translation. The story just flows well, so you’re doing a great job!
This. Well said.

It's a weird situation when both parties are not acting maliciously but remember the previous scanlators could've already cleaned the chapters , doneredraws and probably waiting for some finishing touches only for another group to release the same chapter. Now that's wasted effort and time , generally if its not scanalated for months it's fair game , so I don't mind another person doing it . But there are some series where multiple groups fight it out for the same series and honestly it's just a waste only time which could be used another series that needs that effort .but it all depends ,not every snipe is bad but most of the time they are , this just ain't one of those time
If the work gets broken up that way and it sits waiting forever for a member of the group who isn't able to pick up their part, the wasted effort really is a shame. But in a case like that, if there's any "blame"* to be had it's on the member who isn't able to pick up their part… not the "sniper".

* - Plus, blame is usually a lot more likely to be nonproductive ego/butthurt than it is anything that helps anyone.

And at least to me, it would be weird for a group that's hung up waiting for someone to not offer a good "sniper" a shot at working with them to handle the stalled aspects… it's a win-win. Unless they have a bunch of chapters that the only thing left to be done is TS or CL/RD**, there's no question TanX has been doing at least as well on the TL.

** - Tbh, if TS or CL/RD is the only holdup, I would be very happy to see TanX's version rather than wait for those things. If Sappy Snail, who I respect and like, feels strongly about holding up chapters until they're happy with TS/CL/RD — then yes, they should! And more power to them for sticking to their principles.
But that's a good reason for them to hold up chapters. Not a reason that everyone else (including people who don't see TS/CL/RD as a top priority) should have to wait.

Thanks for the translation! Please continue with it! The other group literally abandoned this manga after 2 months of no updates, so I say it's fair game.

I hope in future the human garbage never magically get a redemption arc, too many mangas do this bs. These people don't change

I don't know why people get so worked up over a perfectly legible font. It's not like it has awful kerning or ambiguous characters, so as long as the TL is good I don't see why it's such a problem.

I guess people just like to find something to get upset about... because complaining is fun...? :questionblob:

The End card was silly.
I'll say the thing (But mean it as a joke)

Sniper! No Sniping!
