I sincerely still believe that a significant subset of readers for this manhwa have either poor reading comprehension, poor memory of how the story and characters have progressed so far, or are simply blindly biased and stuck in their singular formed opinion of the story and its characters. Otherwise some of the reactions to the latest handful of chapters make very little sense. Maybe it's a heavily engrossed form of self-inserting as the MC which causes such reactions, I don't know.

In Mia’s defense, her father forced her to leave. And like you often see with fathers in manga/manhwa after losing their wives, he drastically changed—becoming an abusive drunkard before eventually abandoning Mia and leaving her to fend for herself.

She also doesn’t feel like she has the right to stay with Taesoo. For one, she blames herself for his falling out with his family. And then there’s the fact that she took money from his mom.

So she cut ties out of guilt. She felt like she had betrayed the only person who truly loved and accepted her, and the way she chose to deal with that pain was by cutting Taesoo off entirely.

I mean it's not like Mia used the money for herself, she used the money for her hospitalised mother. I think we all would have done the same. Whether it's right or wrong is up for debate but it is clear that she feels immense guilt. Hence, why she is reluctant to even ask Taesoo for help despite being cornered and having nowhere to go.

Many readers on this site, and honestly every other manga site I've visited in the last 20+years, tend to hate girls that do not fit their "nice", docile and subdued preferences. If Mia was still the meek one seen in the flashbacks and this story was about how Taesoo is helping her out they would be crazy for her.
