Not saying there aren't flaws in my idea, i threw it together pretty quickly, but i was thinking more along the lines of cutting the bulk of the work down to a size where the community could then petition manual reviews of the specific situations by the mods...

there's no way in hell they could go through every manga every month to check their situation, but it'd be a way for most of them to be on automatic, leaving just the handful that crop up with shitty claim abuse for the community to bring their attention to.

Hmm, let's do some simple deduction on the possible outcomes of ignoring this slop or not:

If people ignore it, at best:
-Two groups waste effort working on the same thing
-Readers with low standards get to read something slightly faster

If people ignore it, at worst:
-The quality group gets pissed off and stops working on the series, hurting readers with high standards
-Readers who have to block the thrash uploader can't receive update notifications if the thrash uploader decides to work on a series that actually needs someone to work on it

If people don't ignore it and yell at the person outputting thrash, at best:
-Thrash uploader leaves and spends their effort in a place where it's appreciated
-Quality group has zero reason to get pissed off and leave
-Readers get more stuff to read and get less annoyed having to block people or suffer their recent uploads page getting bloated

If people don't ignore it and yell at the person outputting thrash, at worst:
-Thrash uploader doesn't listen and one of the ignore scenarios happens
-But the worst case scenario is less likely as the quality group at least knows they're appreciated

So it's a choice between something with an at best neutral and likely bad outcome, and something with a possibly good and less-likely possible bad outcome. Don't have to be a genius to figure out which one is better: fuck off and stop translating this series, OP.

One good thing about having these slop translators is that all the aggregator sites will pull these garbage ones, which will preserve them forever. Actually, this is a great idea. I should do this, leave them up for a day or two to propagate, and then delete them off MD.

second, i do that for every scan chapter. Not saying this to you specifically but a lot of yall do not appreciate the amount of hard work and dedication these scanlators do to provide us with chapters. I put a thx for the tl for a sign of appreciation regardless of the manga story.
