Well this was a great revenge manga, it didn't overstayed its welcome and it had a satisfaying ending, it didn't felt overly edgy like others of the type, i really hate revenge stories like, "i need to have my revenge so ill make the life of anyone that cross my path miserable", like Redo Healer.
Even though the glasses girl was a very minor character i kind of wish they showed a bit of what happened to her

I'm glad Sensei got her revenge, but I think she went too far with Yumeka. Yes, the asshole plotted to kill her (knowingly causing an allergic reaction is attempted murder) but using rape as a correction is not satisfactory because it rewards evil people. That predatory company and the assailants are still around, Sensei didn't stop them from hurting other more innocent girls. That awful facility presumably still exists and there's undoubtedly plenty of innocent men who are victims.

Someone finally managed to put it into words. I also kinda feel off about her revenge part. And that's the thing: it rewards another bad people with more power, already rooted deeply within society, and most of the time goes unpunished, heck rewarded even.

I was surprised that Mashima got out of the rape dungeon, but not surprised that he hung himself. Life as a dickless onahole is no life at all, but it's a fate he 100% deserved. I feel sorry for whoever had to clean up all that mess though...

Nichida's fate was another surprise in a way. No amputations, she gets to keep both her legs, but she'll be walking with a cane for the rest of her life. Those feelings of envy and regret (not remorse, mind you, but regret) will stay with her for the rest of her life as well. Play stupid baking games, win stupid leg-breaking prizes.

I thought Yumeka would get a messier ending ("ass to ass"), but spending the rest of her "life" as a junkie going in and out of prison while mentally stuck in her own fantasy world works just as well. If the full weight of the reality of her situation ever hit her, she'd probably be swinging from a noose just like Mashima.

It's comforting to know that Kurokawa will most likely die in prison with no real chance of parole. The rich kid who got boners from starting fires is now the punching bag for all who were damned by his old man. The Kurokawa family name holds no power now, and has the same worth as used toilet paper.

I'm happy that both Izuka and Sakurai got the happy endings they deserved - the former having redeemed himself and is finally free of both his bullies and his psycho mom (I hope she croaked), and the latter having finally gotten her revenge after everything that's happened and is now a caregiver.

Thanks again for the translation, and I'll be following the other revenge kino from the same authors with great interest.

Thanks! I feel a little less alone. I had already made the same criticism during Yumeka’s arc and in the previous chapter as well, where I said, like you, that using rape as a means of revenge was really awful writing.

I mean, Yumeka is definitely not a good person and probably never will be. She did something horrible and shows no remorse for it. Even so, I really didn’t like her arc, and I liked her ending even less.

And from reading other comments, it seems that Yumeka retreated into her imaginary world that’s because she had gone through terrible experiences. Yumeka’s fellow inmates point out that she was an actress without taboos. Considering how she ended up in the JAV industry, it’s not hard to imagine that she probably wasn’t fully consenting to everything that happened afterward either. Mentally, she was already dead

As for the drugs and this applies to many porn actresses, entertainers, and celebrities in general, they can be a way to disconnect from reality and let go because of pressure, stress, and everything else that comes with that lifestyle.

In the end, it was a tragic fate for Yumeka. Personally, I would have preferred a different ending for her. Yeah she deserved a punishment but not this one

I am sensing a bit of a double standard in these posts.
I see a lot of people saying "rape is never justified" when it comes to Yumeka, but they seem perfectly fine when it happens to Mashima, even making jokes about, despite the fact the "it rewards another evil person" its just as true in his case.

Which manga was that? I think I recall reading something like that but I can't remember the name at all, but I remember feeling it was trying way too hard to be "edgy"(common in these types of stories).

I think its probably Okaeri Papa. Touko leaks the address of a jealous girl who had been bothering her to her stalker. We don´t see what the stalker does to her and the girl is never brought up again, but I don´t think we are meant to asume it was something pretty.

The signs on the arms are for using drugs, can't say if she is using make-up but 7 years passed from the events so it wouldn't be too weird if she was able to heal the STD stuff before it got permanent.

If she is using make-up is clearly enough, covered everything up nicely.

On that vein, if she is using products to cover scars she would the same on her arms too, so I'm gonna say she isn't using any, is a natural beauty and a dumbass.
