Wow, they dispatched that small army in no time. As expected, even the little ones are completely immune to that magic and they are strong enough to completely break heavy armour. I guess they couldn't stop themselves from going berserk. It's good they only faced a small army because cooperating with allies is somewhat impossible right now if they only distinguish ostrishkin from others.

The merchant's report is going to quickly sober up the strategist.


Well, they have a breeding season apparently. Though I don't know when we'll see it. Their numbers can definitely grow now and they may be able to challenge the plateau once they have bigger numbers and clear out monsters.

The only reason they were able to grow their flock to that number was Reisu leading them and gathering all the smaller flocks. They were honestly on the brink of extinction. Natural selection was brutal on the plateau.

I wonder if we'll see any of the little ones ever evolve a bit like Reisu thanks to having to deal with a lot more knowledge. I also wonder if they'll ever cross-breed with other races. But well, I don't expect any of this to happen anytime soon.

Honestly fair. Feel like playing dead is a tried and true method of survival throughout history and even spanning towards the dawn of time. Of course you’d probably just get eaten and mauled immediately by some predators, but not always.

Especially in wars, I guess. In modern wars…you might be seen as a coward, but I mean hey, the method ensures survival, not reputation.

If it was 20v1, soldiers could possibly......stall.....one of the child forms. But that flock never truly separates, and their cavalry power isn't something even cannons could reasonably stop without multiple layers.

Against MC? If she had proper training and some gear to extend her reach if needed? Morals are the only thing stopping her.

Never truly, but technically they did from Reisu when they were avenging them even though they didn’t get hurt and it didn’t seem like they got hurt. Just attacked. That was enough, I guess.

I feel Reisu could probably kick through a fortified fortress wall seeing as how even the little ones FOLDED that shield like aluminum.

But yeah no, if Reisu got trained in martial arts and did dedicated muscle training (if there’s any equipment to even be a challenge for them to lift)…oh god, a monster they’d be. Feel like they could close the distance in like a quarter second for most close-combat cases… but a gear to help reach pesky enemies would be useful in some scenarios, ngl, lol.

I wouldn’t say a regular army of mob soldiers. Maybe to them, but technically they were kinda led by an elite (who got his head brutally kicked off) who was chosen by supposedly the best strategist in the continent iirc?? Definitely agree with the former though. They do be super secret. Even their race/beastman type was undiscovered before them, lol. If that doesn’t back up that claim, I don’t know what does.

Feel like the other soldiers on the wall grasped the absurdity, but were just too excited to even acknowledge the bloodshed. The terror might kick in slowly, tbh. Like a “I…should NOT be messing with them.” They may act cute and look tiny, but they sure as hell will murder you in the blink of an eye.

I’d guess the MC is somewhere a bit before the lightning dragon in strength, or maybe just slightly above. The size difference definitely plays a part though, ngl.

In the grand scheme of things? Average. Remember that their pack are still prey to the lightning dragons in the plains where they came from. And the dragons there doesnt even seem to be the apex predator of the area.

Hmm, actually true I guess. Since there’s probably much more terrifying things the more south you go, there’s probably many more instances such as the lightning dragon that could threaten their lives. In regards to the areas in which humans are in close proximity to, however… they’re probably unrivalled, lol.

Same. Melty-faced and replaying the moment she almost ended Prague inadvertently. Since like, it’s shown here that even IF Reisu isn’t injured—as long as an attack is directed at them and makes contact… then they’re probably screwed, lol.

Deadly and dangerous aren't actually the same thing; a shark is deadly, but not necessarily dangerous - they seldom overlap spaces with humans and even then generally need to be coaxed into any interaction (spreading food and the like). Hippos are dangerous because they overlap spaces with humans and are very aggressive to boot.

Cats and dogs can kill a grown, fit human being fairly easily, but rarely do.
