I would have preferred that the old party became good fellas and eventually befriending the MC , but oh well... Let's see where this will lead us

But why do that when we can use the interesting twist on the formula as a short-term hook before everything settles into generic tropes and cliches that every other "kicked out of the party" story ends up devolving into?

gotta give the people what they want, which is apparently the same thing over and over and over and over again.

Lmao 🤣 A Cain who was actually praised went full fuckboi and his party turned into a bunch of college assholes hypemen acting like they're still in high school. The next step is for him to get addicted to sex and drugs before ODing in a public kids playground.

Wow. The devil only changed forms huh. That feels both contrived and cliché, but hey, at least we saw a cutie pie.

Wuw, didn't expect this, the guy that crawled got a inflated ego after the villain let him get recognized, when in the normal story he would have been crushed after the expulsion and then realized his real worth, but would have stayed a good person by remembering the example of his old party, instead here as MC mistreated him but then praised him and left the traumatic expereince was suppressed, and now the previous villain behaviour doesn't feel bad anymore.

One thing I would like to know is if MC can release the stolen skills, he needs them now, yes, but could he give them back to the people he stole them from?

its was party full of sycophant. environment do shape what you are.

if you live in getto, you would join a gang. if you live at respectable community, you would grew up as someone humble and respectful.

people are blind to their mistake until something did humble them. OG MC being kick and grew up is his character development and it being denied. power do corrupt.

just because someone being bullied, doesn't means he will become good if he suddenly were give power and acknowledgement. the prime example is in Tsukimichi, Tomoki is someone that get bullied in his former world but when he get power, he abuse his power because he being glazed by goddess and got roofie eye and make everyone bend to his will.

Who would've guessed this would happen lol
Alrdy guess it for a while ...

A world setting like from game will force the standard scenario to start

Even by making char change about it ....

Since MC who suppose to be villian taking hero route...the story gear change to favour him as hero and this suppose to be hero as villain

* I not talking thru spoiler btw .. you can see in almost all similar series ...

Only 1 get exception since MC ended up with non-romance NPC for hero char ( that story have top tier NPC but hero can't get her as romance target for his harem ) ...so story wise he didn't change anything for hero side ..

On one hand, it annoys me about the changes being so sudden in him.. remembering it's only been a day or two.

But taking the timeline out of the equation, I do find it interesting that they are actually showing what happens when someone immediately escalates to management/a position of power without working FOR that position. This is something kind of seen often, in the real world. We promote someone to manager whose worked on the floor under a bad manager, but we fire the manager and bring up 'someone who knows the job' while giving them a pretty decent raise. Soon, you start hearing complaints from the team members, then other managers eventually get tired of it.. and in checking it seems they turned into a worse version of the manager.

The hero's journey isn't just a fiction, it's quite literally how you build up as a person. Instead of killing giants though, you have small personal mountains that are climbed. I appreciate the series is showing that... though, taken as a whole, this is inane that it happened instantly.

Well, this was a lame cliche development. It would have been more interesting if the original MC ended up being significantly weaker, due to facing less adversity and thus less opportunity to grow. But this basically burns away much of the originality of the premise...

Thanks for the scanlation.

predictable. author isnt good enough to come up with somthing more interesting so he defaulted to the most minimal amount of thought to accomplish the goal of putting former mc against current mc

it makes 0 sense that old mc would end up like this since he is a protag of a harem story but author needs that conflict later. definite drop, no longer worth reading

I mean the original trend for the OP character that gets kicked out is that they go on to be picked up by people that also kind of exploit them but are just nicer about it. Effectively they just hop to a similar situation to what they were in so they only have a better life because the new people are fundamentally good. It makes sense to me that a flimsy cowardly character like Cain would immediately turn to a piece of shit if surrounded by trash instead of good people like the heroines. Cain staying good and reforming the party would indicate he has some kind of back bone but that's pretty rare among these types of stories.

I wonder if we can extrapolate that original Lloyd was also a good/normal person before and only became such an asshole because of his party members.

Actually it makes sense if you look at it a little more broadly: old mc became good because his party members were good.
This time he became corrupt because his party members are corrupt.
Just means he's weak willed and easily influenced. (I expect the 3 other members to betray him later on, per usual)

Then he will blame GILGAMESH for ruining his GODLY LIFE, like a mongrel he is, per usual. :bleh:
