Does anyone actually like Chita? Because at this point, I genuinely struggle to find a single redeeming quality in her.
She keeps complaining about everyone leaving her behind, yet she's the one deliberately pushing Tokio away. She spent chapters barely speaking to him, ignores his messages despite knowing he's trying to reach out, and openly acknowledges that he's still making an effort even as she pulls away.
And the hypocrisy is absolutely infuriating. She literally told Tokio, to his face, ages ago that she planned to go abroad and pursue her own future (chapter 122/124), even if that meant leaving everyone behind. She made her intentions perfectly clear, seemingly without a single thought about how that would affect him or anyone else. Yet now she's upset because Tokio might eventually move on with his own life? What exactly did she expect? That everyone would put their lives on hold and wait for her?
She's under absolutely no obligation to love him romantically, but that's not the issue. The issue is that she doesn't seem to show him even the most basic consideration as a friend, let alone as someone who genuinely cares about her. She knows he's trying to maintain their relationship, knows she's pushing him away, and still somehow sees herself as the one being abandoned.
And considering how well the author has developed the other characters and relationships, I genuinely don't understand what we're supposed to find appealing about her. Are we supposed to sympathize with her while completely overlooking how terribly she treats Tokio? Because at this point, it almost feels like the author is deliberately trying to make us hate her.
