Isn't the text on page 4 a bit wrong? "I'd be afraid to hire a guard for a spirit mage" - should it be something like "hire a guard that is a spirit mage"? Because I'm not quite sure why he would want to guard a spirit mage...
I don't understand why the grand master is taking the claim that Yuuta went against the guild with the thorns at face value... He only did that after his reputation had been thoroughly dragged into the mud, being presented with what basically amounted to a slavery contract and an attempt to assassinate him. Dude is about as passive as it gets.
All the guild masters are pretty seedy though. Let's hope Yuuta remains cautious with them.
Yuuta is planning to stay away for around 3 weeks though. I wonder if Sylphy is monitoring the situation and could inform him to come back early. Though chances are that she'd just let the adventurer guild stew in their mess for a while.
I'm confused by the people who want to see the receptionist punished though. I'm not aware that she had any active role in discriminating against Yuuta. She was basically just the person who was made to interact with him and she's almost always been professional. The only time she showed hostility towards Yuuta was when he enrolled slum kids as adventurers out of concern and once she was called out for her inaction at helping the slum kids herself, she backed down since she understood she had no right to complain about this. She's as biased as anyone else against spirit mage, but she's always been reasonable while the guild master, despite being shown to be otherwise quite competent, was actively trying to undermine Yuuta and being unreasonable (as it had to be pointed out to him how absurd his plan of taking down Yuuta or the red dragon was). I guess you could argue that she's guilty for her inaction as she failed to advise the guild master against pursuing his plan against Yuuta but the problem is that we've never really seen how the guild operates internally. I mean, we've only seen the receptionists and the guild master and there seems to be nothing in between, but usually a receptionist for low level adventurers isn't high on the totem pole. Every decision by the guild master against Yuuta has always been shown to be unilaterally taken on by him, so he's really the only one responsible for this situation.
