The only redemption it may have is if this is some kind of mistake or a joke and a new chapter drops off by the end of the month. But like this... it is one of the most disappointing mangas I have ever read, and that says as lot.

The authro was clearly put on the axe block the moment he introduced the third child, from the development I believe the manga was given a chance to continue if this arc was enough popular, it wasn't, so the publisher simply ended the story at the promised chapter, I'm guessing the mangaka believed in it too much...hence the last chapter coming out as a simple arc end and introduction to the next arc.
Yep, it comes out terrible, we can honestly only hope in a epilogue in the compiled volume, but many mangaka don't draw them.

my rating suddenly dropped from 8/10 to 1/10 because no one of us deserves this treatment.
IMHO tha author had a big projoct in mind, maybe too much, and just from him early introducing the whole family cast (maids included) I prefigured a very long and intricated story to come out, so this sudden death felt even more abrupt and disconcerting.

i did say the sales were weak but i also looked at the term of content of young magazine where the manga originally gets published and for the last 3 weeks it's stuck at the bottom so in a way the manga practically had no future.

the axe notice should've been sent earlier though so the mangaka would have more time to prepare for the actual ending but maybe we'll get an epilogue in vol 3 by next february.
