I don't ever comment on this site, but this ending was a nothing burger lol. There was so much potential, with the character dynamics, the plot, and the art style is amazing, the characters feel so alive (like rent a girlfriend's art style but if it was used in a better way). I refuse to believe this is it.

What a brutal axe. This series had some serious Megumi, and I was really enthralled by the mysteries that were being woven. A really abrupt end, one that leaves a very sour taste because all I can think about is what can be built off of this.

Thank you for the TL.

This manga was kinda straight poopoo. I mean I had a bit of hope that the forced mysteries would pay off but man this axe was ruthless. Probably one of the biggest wastes of time I've had the displeasure of reading with this ending
Unfortunately thiss happened when you read unofficial translations. Most of the time we have no idea how smaller manga are doing unless you follow every single author/artist and publisher. So these abrupt endings from axings will 9/10 leave a sour taste in our mouths

By this point in the comment section, everything was already said...
Just.... Man.
If someone in the future finds the author's twitter or whatever social they have, please share them, I'd love to follow and maybe see a new manga from them, if it happens, or maaaaaybe an independent continuation in their profile like some others did

You do HAVE to keep the overarching story moving forward. This was a 10 chapter swimsuit arc with a double fake out tacked on at like chapter 7 out of 10.
I think the problem is that the consequences of the mystery were not impactful and it dulled the story when it was not the immediate focus. Something like Erased or Oshi no Ko have life and death mysteries and they're very consequential.

If FMC and MC had more of a romantic tension between them, promising to be together if they weren't blood related, then the consequences of solving the mystery would have been more compelling. (Presuming they got a blood test to find out whether they were related and it was inconclusive.) Then you can have these swimsuit arcs where they grow closer together since it raises the stakes of the mystery outcome. After the first few chapters the romantic tension and wincest potential really dropped off. They were unravelling the mystery only to solve it. Who did the deceased relative love more? Who cares!?
