I do hope they make the father do something scummy. We didn't even really get any memories of him screwing over the MC, and both are as violent and relentless as each other, so it hardly seems like the father is 'that bad' comparably to the MC or as the setting dictates. Right now it feels like...

It's interesting the amount of mythical and religious references this comic makes, without seemingly bringing religion up at all, and just doing it for mood, setting, and atmosphere. Also, the hell hounds and cerebus were said to be guardians of hell... so is that saying that MC and everyone...

This looks cute so far, the cartoony art feels quite fresh compared to a lot of other manga. As someone else pointed out, it reminds me of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei with its talky style. What, are you telling me that isekai comics in fantastical European inspired settings aren't historical...

I read it as him not used to kindness in general, and that's what makes him uncomfortable; not MC being kind in particular, or her previous abuse of him.

Half true. It immediately makes things a lot darker and makes the situation more serious and tense, as well as giving the situation a sense of morbid maturity; that said, you could probably make due with just violence and and a dab of nudity, and it wouldn't turn people away nearly as much...
