Kaka is used to address senior military officers. You hear it a lot in Legend of Galactic Heroes or other series with a lot of admirals. It generally gets translated as "Your Excellency," so it's probably also used for high-ranking civil officials who aren't royalty, but they don't turn up as...
This reminds me a good deal of Galaxy Express 999, where so many planets they stopped at were deeply screwed up. I suppose this time it's screwed up people passing through one stop.
Here's another series about a guy who winds up in a relationship with a ghost: https://mangadex.org/title/455/my-lovely-ghost-kana. It's been a long time since I read it, but I remember it as being funny and a bit fluffy. Stuff like the ghost chilling beer cans in her cleavage and using a...
Now the real question is: Which Zelda does she most resemble? I suspect Tetra might be most suitable, but the Elf is probably Skyward Sword or Breath of the Wild Link.
Nainai is a Chinese word for "Grandmother." At least, that's the first possibility that comes to mind for why everyone's making fun of the big chef's name, like some big bruiser named Oba in a Japanese series.

And what random skill will she get next? Construction? Farming? Shoemaking? All at +50% effect.
Oh Japan. I, too, remember that OVA. I sometimes wonder if it's revenge for how ridiculous American media can be about ninjas and such. Like the time Chris Farley became one.
The secretary reminds me of the main character of https://mangadex.org/title/20764/maou-no-hisho, except less bent on exterminating humanity. I look forward to her interactions with the boss's daughter.
@Foxtrot_9:
No bet. If you look at the table of contents for volume 2, Chapter 12 is titled "From Sanshiro to Father." Of course, there's a chance he's actually Youhei's father, but the stalker shrine with a woman who looks like Kuyou makes that unlikely.
Thanks for you work on the series, @rpapo. It's been a hell of a ride. I suppose I'll have to read it over from the beginning some time since it's been a while and I've forgotten a few things here and there.
