Uh... I’m confused. We, the audience, clearly saw Yabu Tsubaki push Banri down the cliff. Her friends did too. Why’re her friends suddenly talking as if she’s innocent?
Rather than “I don’t think she could have pushed Banri,” shouldn’t it be, “I didn’t think she would push Banri.”? Like, “She’s a mean bitch, but I didn’t think she had it in her to potentially kill someone.”

If the author’s intention is to paint a totally guilty criminal crying and sobbing, playing up the “I didn’t do nuffin’” card, they sure are succeeding.
