G-A-C-H-I-N-G....
I do wonder about the same thing.lol i still have no idea how y'all earn coins so fast.
Last year (and in the initial Canary beta from this year) it was quite easy to start racking up coins on 10-rolls, since the 50K+ card came up pretty frequently. This is after essentially one longish afternoon of manual idle clicking during video calls I really didn't need to be on (because my job is sometimes dumb like that):In last year's Gachadex, it was possible to get super rare gems that, from what I remember, would give 50K coins, and they weren't super rare like now, so it was quite possible to just drawing and you would constantly go up, but since this year it's a team game, that was changed.
Even with clicking ads, rating manga, updating my list, and increased chapter reading, I was lucky to get 1600 in a week. I can only come to the conclusion that I was playing a game with completely different rules than everyone else, or folks were gaming the system big time.reaching 1 million in 1 less than a week feels kinda impossible normally.
According to the mods, they are constantly catching cheaters messing up stuff.Even with clicking ads, rating manga, updating my list, and increased chapter reading, I was lucky to get 1600 in a week. And if they were gaming the system, I'm surprised no one shared the strategy.
DexCoin activities:
Reading a chapter = 35 DexCoins, 40s cooldown
Rating a title = 10 DexCoins, 30s cooldown
Updating a title in your Library = 10 DexCoins, 15s cooldown
Clicking an ad = 15 DexCoins, 5s cooldown
-Reading a chapter: i can't seem to prompt another 'read a chapter' action from moving from one chapter to another while in the reader. (in other words, if you are farming this, you may need to exit the reader and then click a chapter to get another 35 DexCoins).
-Rating a title: the 'rate a title' action can be prompted by changing any rating value to any other rating value (i.e. you do not need to change a title's rating from [no rating] to [number rating] to receive the 10 DexCoins)
-Clicking an ad: right-clicking an ad and opening the link in a new tab/window may not prompt the 'click on ad' action
So the question becomes, "how did y'all even break 500k?" It does not seem to be something manually feasible.victim of mod intervention.
It was a typo, chapter edits don't give coins.Creating a script to edit a chapter(like just changing the title), could maybe do the trick, but from my calculations considering the cooldown, it doesn't do much. the list could also be outdated, or it could also have extra bonuses to supporters, contributors, or insiders.
Coin "cards" have a range from 10 to 10000 coins as of right now (on top of the base coin rewards for pulls). In last year's Gachadex, it was possible to get super rare gems that, from what I remember, would give 50K coins, and they weren't super rare like now, so it was quite possible to just drawing and you would constantly go up, but since this year it's a team game, that was changed.
Please don't do that, you'll just get banned from the event... (it's easy to detect, even with random delays added). If you do the editing chapter, create a script to change a letter every single exact minute, you could get 72000 per day, that's half a million after an entire week (And I saw people getting million in 1 or 2 days).
If we add a script to clicking ads every 5s, that's "86400" per day, or 604800 per week.
Well, I suppose if you make a script that does one of each all at the same time, it may be possible.
I recommend simply using the site as usual, even more this next weekend (will share why soon)Even with clicking ads, rating manga, updating my list, and increased chapter reading, I was lucky to get 1600 in a week. There are currently 11 not so intelligent lifeforms that got blacklisted due to cheating, and I'm currently working on new detection layers to make the event as fair as possible for everyone.According to the mods, they are constantly catching cheaters messing up stuff.
I had been wondering about the max coin pulls, and just as soon as I read that, and did a 10x gacha... I get a 7 stars Coin pull of 9670 coins...Coin "cards" have a range from 10 to 10000 coins as of right now (on top of the base coin rewards for pulls).

Myabe verification of the payload is a good start. It was a typo, chapter edits don't give coins.
On the other hand, the list is indeed outdated, and contributors have extra special event types they can trigger (as well as special missions) that give bonus rewards to either themselves, their team or the entire userbase.

As a sidenote, defectors also have special missions that give interesting rewards, so you might want to consider the idea...![]()
I believe you, you do have the role of 'member' on the main site which means you joined in V3 (since V5 members would have 'user' instead)also, for what it's worth, I'm not just some rando tourist, just a chronic lurker (hence only having set up my forum profile today lol), I usually read logged out and track in tachi, so that's why my account looks dead.
Woah, that's quite the testing.Okay, so were we not supposed to keep clicking on the ads?
I didn't reverse engineer the api and write a script to automatically send requests or anything; I just clicked the ad, over and over and over again.
I did some black box testing to figure out the rates for dexcoins and such, and essentially nothing is as effective as just clicking ad's.
There's a bug with the reader to where it only gives you points when going from the index page to the reader, but not when going to the next chapter (it might have worked once or twice, but seemed very finicky and unreliable);
Updating status repeatedly is a pain to do and doesn't net many points anyways, likewise for rating;
Uploading chapters or editing titles is a non-starter unless you're a contributor and have something real to do.
This means that not only is reading as normal not a viable strategy, neither is manually gaming the other options, not to mention that it's a clear abuse of the system, spamming random functions outside of their intended purpose.
But the ads are literally just there to be clicked, no? It's not like they preform an actual mangadex function outside of just grinding points(and pretty cool manga discovery), so I'd expect ad clicking to be an intended strategy, what else is it for other than that, right, that's why it gives you points in the first place.
It's the only strategy where you're not spamming back and forth between pages but rather preforming the intended function of the feature; Not only this, but it also has the best rates out of all of them, making it an actually viable strategy.
Maybe it was a bug that you can just click on the same ad over and over again without reloading the page, but I thought it was intended behavior.
Essentially you built a clicker, so I treated it as one (thought this was intended).
At first I manually clicked with a 5.5 second timer next to me, I did this for quite a while. After quite a bit I did get tired of doing that and made xdotool click for me on a 5.7s cycle, this might be where I went wrong. given that the game was basically just a clicker, I expected this to be within the bounds of the game (clearly it wasn't, I guess, oops lol, that's fair ig), no api requests or hacking or anything, just xdotool click 1; sleep 5.7 loop.
genuine question, was it really not meant to be a clicker?, cause given the design, I can't see it any other way. (I don't mean this in a sarcastic way, I'm genuinely wondering.)
If not, then you should probably fix the bugs where reading chapters normally doesn't give you points properly, and where you can click the same ad nonstop without reloading.
For people still in the game here are some of my findings from my black box testing:
- ads give you 15 normally, but every 5 cycles they give you 40 instead.
- the timeout for ads is probably meant to be 5 seconds, but given network latency, you need to wait a bit longer than that.
- if I remember correctly, changing status only gives you 5 points (or was it 10, I don't remember) and it has a longer cooldown than ads.
- reading chapters gives you quite a bit more points, but the cooldown is long (somewhere between 30-60 seconds I think), and you need to go in and out of chapters, rather than reading normally; which is annoying and clearly an abuse of the system.
I will say, I ran some linear regressions on the dexcoin amounts, and I don't know what JinxedMyself was doing, but he got coins nearly twice as fast as me. probably chaining multiple different operations together at the same time or something.
It was a good run while it lasted, GG, and good luck to all of you still playing
(go ministry, defeat those filthy rebs)
