It's funny that they're both slowly falling for each other under false pretenses - her as a simple maid and him as, what seems to be, a middle-ranking knight. It'll be sooo fun to watch what happens when one, or both, identities are revealed.
He let it slip saying “I’m not as good as you”. He’s supposed to be a stranger. I wonder if She’ll be thinking about that later. Maybe she’s just gonna think he probably heard her play on the broken piano.

@tigerstar186 She was most likely an illegitimate child. You know, the king went and had fun with a commoner woman.... and likely, once the mother died, she was brought to the palace.
In the flashbacks, we saw she was disliked and kept out of sight by the king and the princes so.. yes, I'd say illegitimate bastard. Go and reread the first pages of chapter 20
that she is so afraid of, but she totally failed to notice it as he took off his mask and suddenly she stopped recognising his voice (which she was so afrain of) ?
