This "snipe" BS needs to stop. More than one group can work on something at the same time. Just don't read the one you don't want to read, simple as that. Considering the poor quality of this (still not Duwang levels, but it's definitely closer to that than I'd like) and that I enjoy Yoru's, I'm definitely waiting until those are uploaded.
Sure, I don't mind when 2 groups are working on the same title - look Sono Bisque Doill. So let me ask this:
1. Where was this guy, while this title wasn't updated for almost a month?
2. Why he randomly decided to start uploading from chapter 170, instead of earlier chapters?
3. This MTL was already on the internet for almost 2 months on some aggregator sites and now he's dumping all of this low quality, low effort bullshit on mangadex - why?
Talk all you want how term "snipe" is bullshit, but it is real. And here you got prime example. He has literally no prior uploads, account created 4 days ago and dumping stuff as fast as possible, without any effort put to it.

Yeah probably I'm being too aggresive, but really feels like this sniping is being done in a bad faith. And to be fair, my limit of blocking has been reached.

And judging by other poster, this guy has a track record of doing this. So it is clear thiis guy just sucks.
I do not know who they talked about, so I didn't said anything. I do not know what " sniping " means in this context either. Urban Dictionary gives different definitions.

Looks like you are playing dumb. Okay, this manga is being worked on, and the current translator is uploading it regularly with good quality, then you decided to upload an unbelievably crappy translation of the latest chapters, ruining my experience as I accidentally clicked on your upload. That is sniping.

4 days ago to like a comment. Mangadex should be around 1-2 months. I do not read manga from other websites, exception; KDT Scans for Seinaru Otome to Himegoto wo. Because, as I said, I will be posting as I read. I read until the last chapter. Did not want to wait anymore.
Also the term " sniping " is used for groups, from what I understand here. I clicked " Not affiliated with any group ". Which group does it show for you?

Sorry for the disturbance, but, as there isn't a button to set warning for uploader change, I can not do anything about it.

Okay what's done is done. Just don't translate and upload this manga again because as you can see, the reactions are really negative. Go find another manga that is not regularly uploaded instead, like not updated in 5-6 months or something.

So basically sniping is when a person or group uploads the newest chapters of a manga that has an active group working on it, often deliberately to undercut the other group. It's highly discouraged because it's often done with mass mtl which iirc is against the terms of service (think services like torii or sakura I think it's called?) And doesn't add much to the quality of the site or manga that gets TL'd. Remember we're here because there is no official TL.

Where sniping is generally considered okay is when the current group working on something is either very poor quality or extremely slow uploads. In this case, EnD took over after Heat but struggled to keep a consistent pace for whatever reason. And these things happen, maybe real life gets in the way, maybe you took on more projects than you can handle, maybe you lose motivation, it's all volunteer work. So for whatever reason they couldn't keep up with the workload. BB was doing it himself on the side but, out of respect, uploaded only to his personal facebook group. I was doing the same thing but just uploading to a mega folder. I don't know if they talked about it or whatever, but BB has now basically taken over and EnD is supportive of it. Things like that or if a group just straight disappears is generally where I, and most people, defend it.

In this case it's considered a bit rude to be suddenly jumping in with, I apologize, but very rushed looking work, as most of the community is expecting something else when they see this pop up instead. It's kind of like dangling spoiler in front of people. A better option I think would be to ask the current uploader if you can help in any way, or has been said earlier, try another series that has no group and needs one. If BB disappears for like a month with no word then by all means go for it.

At the end of the day you are of course within your right to put your own work out there but I just want to explain why the community is reacting negatively.

Thanks for definition. I have never heard of mass machine-translation( ? ) " Torii " or " Sakura " services. I use jisho, drawjapanese, wiktionary, easyscreenocr, and ChatGPT as services; PaintTool SAI Ver.2, Notebook++ as applications. I saw another translater using ChatGPT too, hence why I thought it is okay. I re-word the output as needed. I read BB's translations up until now. I do not wish them to stop uploading either. No need to apologize. It is okay if it is looking " rushed ". I chose functionality, e.g. " Is it English, makes sense, and readable? ", over aesthetics, e.g. " Is this correct font? Is this correct punto? ". I wanted to read this manga now, and thought others might not want to wait too, like me. It is okay if they do not want to read it; because of aesthetics, or want to read BB's translation. It is some text after all.

The key here is DON'T UPLOAD YOUR VERSION. You have read the previous translation. Do you understand the big gap of quality there? Your work is bad, the other work is good. No one want to read your version, it is clear by looking at the comments. If you can't wait then translate for yourself. JUST DON'T UPLOAD HERE.
In what world do we prefer this work of yours to Yorukoi's? Not sure if you are playing dumb or truly didn't know anything.

I don't buy this at all. Your english is bad and you thought you could somehow rewrite MTL to "make sense and make it readable". In what world has MTL ever been seen as an acceptable to a human translator?

No prob, and yeah there are some. It's like an all in one OCR-ChatGPT-rewriter. People I know that use it usually just have it for typical isekai slop that has no group translating (or straight up hentai) and uploading stuff done by it is against the rules iirc.

If you'd like to read ahead he's got up to the most recent on here:
https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?vanity=61554034190876&set=a.122169921494134473

As I mentioned earlier it seems he's doing adjustments and fixes and that's why they're not on mangadex yet.

As far as MTL goes you should really only use it as an aide. So for example if I'm doing a tl and I come across a phrase I don't understand I'll first ocr the kanji and look it up in the dictionary, if I really need help I'll put it into chatgpt and ask it specifically to explain the sentence. It's a really good learning tool but that's it, a learning tool. It shouldn't be the main workhorse unless there's no other option.

I mean... If you guys hate this translation, just don't read it... Why are you guys so mad when dude just having fun? I will read when BB is back too, but there's really no reason for this aggression.
Twitter-cop syndrome. They don't like something for whatever reason, so they bitch and moan about it to get rid of it instead of just ignoring it.
Since there's always someone who doesn't get it and the perfect explanation has long since been made about it:

I can not access latest posts due to lack of a Facebook account. I can only understand some Japanese. If I were to translate it without ChatGPT, the translation would be way worse. But if I did not understand the general gist of the speech bubbles, and simply copy-pasted, it would still be off. I think, for now, my technique is enough to translate this simple manga.
