Author fucked the story in one chapter *slow clap*. Like others said, Leo likes Fooly for him but not his gender so he's doomed to be on the verge of romance forever at best. Like we saw here, if he was a girl then Leo would be all over Fooly and the manga would have a happy ending.

This is no longer a romcom and is now a Romantic Tragedy with Fooly being played for a literal Fool. Best case scenario he gives up and gets with literally any other of the girls that like him. Since he likes abs, Berserk would be best.

Leo has shown zero sexual interest in regular Fooly but was all over female Fooly. Thus, Fooly should give up or permanently magically change gender if he wants leo. Leo doesn't want male him sexually. Authors a dumb ass for writing this in because it's ruined the rest of the series.

If this was the other way around and Leo turned into a guy, Fooly'd be sad and would want her to turn back into a woman. If it was permanent then Leo(M) and Fooly would probably become friends. The difference here is that when Fooly turned into a girl Leo started showing physical attraction towards him instead of her usual emotional attraction.

She was even disappointed when he turned back.

Obviously, this is a joke on the writer's part, but it's still gonna reencode their previous interactions. Leo's more Bi, female leaning in physical attraction. If she's stringing him along and there's really only an emotional attraction I think it makes sense that they just become friends in the end.

Personally, I don't like this development, and it's really killed my interest in the series.
