Ah the absolute pain of now having to read his mind completely blow up about not being able to win due to factors he cannot control at all, only to later be told that the result didn't matter, but his determination and the way he changed does and so he still 'won'. Not that there is anything wrong with this narrative, it's just a bit childish for my taste, but then again, this is a teen romcom, what was I expecting haha.

I'm pretty sure each chapter at this point takes longer to read than the amount of time that actually passes in the story lol. Hopefully it gets better when this arc finally fucking ends. I think it's actually the most drawn-out arc I've ever read that didn't prompt me to drop the series, and that's only because it started off so good :/
