The suspension of disbelief has always been required on series, but this is really stretching it. Good friends for a long time, 4 years of flirting, multiple kisses on the mouth, and yet she is insecure to the point of breaking down. Losing confidence in not just her relationship but in her sense of self-worth. For a girl that has been portrayed as top-tier beautiful, with a smile that sets hearts aflutter, surrounded by admirers and friends, and from whom even the class president seeks advice, to be suddenly losing confidence in her cuteness, that's a hard sell. Did not think this cutesy romance would be going down the path of mental illness and I hope it turns around quickly.

fairly confident that flashback is under 10 years ago, they are in 2025 maximum. probaly less since flashbacks were dated to 4 years (2019/2020) several chapters ago
