whats with the art QUALITY i dont remember the first 2 chapters being like this.

Story is interesting, writing is decent for an isekai, pacing can get weird but not boring and the monster designs are great... but why is the character design/art style so wack (and skill level is so inconsistent the quality becomes bad).

The line art is inconsistent, color values are subtly off, expressions feel pasted on and they make bad directions all over the place. Everything comes together as uncanny.
Also, they use the [shocked_anime_face.jpeg] too much and they don't even do it right (mixed an old school style with a simplified direction).

I wondered if the manga is self-published with an amateur artist, but I checked and they're both good artists. Perhaps just a case of inexperience when it comes to drawing manga?

Most of the style comes from Teni Tatsuji, for both the cool monsters and the character's faces. I wonder if the quality is because he can't express his style without color. (He's not top/commercial mangaka level, but his skill is decent and has cool concepts.)

I noticed the characters' eyes are sometimes drawn really detailed too (and would go amazingly with color)... but the art direction uses the no eyes shocked face too much.

Can I compliment how cool the monsters are? The artist might not have the best consistency at drawing people but they are definitely the best at drawing boss monsters.
Also I think I have to check the novel. The premise is so fun to follow.

This chapter really didn't showcase much about the academy or dungeon except for like a few pages and backgrounds. So I don't think a lot of thought went into the world-building or at least it looks that way.

If anybody has read the novel then could you please tell how good it is going to be without giving major spoilers?

It definitely feels early or slow. As I've read the novel myself, that's far I can say since there are people out there who hates spoiler. If I say, don't mind it. Things are going the right way.

To me, this chapter and others feel like it's actually being written for shortform content, like bits on old style cartoons. Every scene must be some wacky/zany face or action, personalities constantly flipping around in circles, and such like that. Like a very old Daffy Duck cartoon or a 40 year old YouTuber trying to act like a 13 year old to keep their audience.
