also, shouldn't her French be pretty good? French was the language of the royal courts across Europe at the time

There's probably little she can realistically do; years of war (and especially the American Revolution) had more or less exhausted the French treasury and ruined the economy along with unwilling to tax the nobility and church. What can a woman who is not involved with any governance really hope to do realistically?

Checking it out, it seems this series is manga-original; there isn't a light/web novel for this.

@kalton True, but Marie Antoinette's story fits very well with the genre of reincarnated "villainess" noblewoman destined to have bad end by the game/novel's ending. In this case, execution following the fall of the French Empire.
