I'm not totally satisfied with this ending chapter; it doesn't quite feel like a last chapter.
Good thing we'll have an epilogue, but if I were reading from a magazine or whatever, and this is the last thing I got, I'd feel a bit let down (assuming that is the case).

Several years later, Ángel and Remilia are talking about her childhood, and he can't for the life of him figure out why she keeps talking about it in the third person. (But I do wonder if she'll ever actually tell anyone about Emi. If anyone, it'd be Ángel, right?)

Thank you for translating this wonderful story. Most of my life I have felt like the villain myself. I was overlooked, disregarded, and only used to prove my family’s excellence. I empathized immensely with Remillia, especially with how she thinks no one will love her for who she is. This is as much her journey of self-love as it is a revenge for Emi. Seeing her accept Angel’s love wholly, and dream of a beautiful future for her and her family is incredibly rewarding. She made her happiness, and I can make my own too.

I really loved it, but until the very end i was hopping for EmiXRemilia ending.
Cause Remilia dont love Angel, at lest it dont feel like it, she only love Emi.
And Angel dont love Remilia, only her pretense of Emi's Remilia.
It's sad to live all your life in a mask, and that's why i hope for the return of Emi.

Goated series. Gonna say that it feels a bit weird not to have had Emi come back at all, and the fixation of Remi to bring her back as a child is weird, but it's a solution I can live with, especially with the spoiler that she'll bring back the OG star maiden too as Emi's sibling, that sounds pretty good.
The punishment for the she-devil is weird too, it basically reads the same as the abuse that it apparently was in the novel. So a slight improvement, but they could've just let her rot in a cell somewhere on her lonesome.
Either way, looking forward to the Epilogue! Rare w series that has a clear story and finds its end at an appropriate time.

From start to finish, the plot was so good.

We know how strong Remilia is by her achievements out of the country, in the country she rely of non physical methods.

She knows using force would taint her images and thus plan properly.

I am glad that she was able to love Angel instead of thinking he is ONLY a tool and reserved all the hatred to herself.

It create layers of her mentality.

I was thinking that she forgets about Emi's "best friend", the friend turns out to be into torture is not on my list tho.

thats the thing, consideration also need to be make, this manga isnt above murder, rape and torture, sure to the oblivious that IS the extend of Pina's punishment, but remember the author setup the connection for the Warden and his murdered corrupted son, and all Pina's has been exclusively revealed, its literally in the exposition box, I feel like there was no need to mention that if the author only wants to limit Pina's punishment,

There's so much unncessary setup built just to settle for that minor punishment doesnt really sit right.

So best assumed case for Pina, the only woman prisoner they got over there only surely not enough with only that, but remember, they promised us epilogue, so we should know more what entails to Pina after that

Her tongue wasn’t cut or throat burned and everything was done to make sure you understand that nobody is to come close to her physically. Putrid smell, magic cover, cage. And the manga explicitly says it’s by royal mandate.

The warden being her enemy just means he won’t give her a break or feel pity for her. He can make her feel as miserable as possible in the limits of his orders. Which yes in the original Novel, enabled the rape etc., but here in the Manga she is “protected” by the royal order.

If you didn’t read the novel, would you or others still think, rape would be easily possible or “hinted” at in this context?

1st - I was pointing out the obvious incase some people didnt get it, there is no foul intention intended, how do you even get to that conclusion is beyond me or youre just projecting, either that or you misread something somewhere

They didn't remove the SA. Re-read the last panel for Pina, here. They just made it an oblique reference.

3rd - the tongue cut off was in LN, in manga it is switched to silencing magic tool
4th - the torture i mentioned is, not Pina getting her tongue burnt aka torture, Pina wasnt above torture cuz she planned for it had she got her hand on the slit-eye demon shopkeeper, who manage to escape last minute thanks to Remi, its a reminder that Pina is not above torture, so its not surprise if she's capable of murder either, she did sent assassins to kill Remi
5th - They could had simply just said its normal warden, at that point everyone in the country hates Pina, those who wasnt at the ball get told what happen to those who was there, how Pina act like an animal, how ugly she become and fitting the title of Devil Reincarnation, she tried to slander the Demon people, she avoided the Lies detection eyes but caught anyway due to Playback item, which shows how she blackmailed, seduced, threaten and act like a wh-ore, these are all said and implied last 4-5 chapters,

are you really gonna say you'd surprise this manga is above SA? In LN Pina wasnt allowed to die, but doesnt mean she didnt attempt it? Despite the bare-minimum heal to prevent her from dying from SA, rapes and torture in LN, Pina did tried to suicide anywaybut Remi cast a curse on her, as someone mentioned here as well, to prevent it
if its just TLDR, put yourself in the warden shoe, all the implication, of backstory, how his only heir stole everything, got corrupted, got murdered, the warden may not be able to kill Pina for revenge, but he can be assured to do something worse that letting her only in Pray position in a cage,

or did u actually forget this was actually revenge manga, or how Remi (Original) wasnt a stable person originally, in original plot she even take a deal with the fallen god to be the ultimate villain because she's a psycho, all it took was Emi reincarnation to divert that crazyness to Emi alone

Look im not trying to read too much into it, being narcisistic as you claimed I am, or etc, exposition is there for a reason, and either it will concluded in future chapters or up to readers to make up the conclusion, remember epilogue/extra chapters incoming after this, im not surprise if there's 1-2 page dedicated to Pina aftermath before this manga ends.

She is afterall, the ultimate villain here, and readers wants satisfaction and sure as hell 3-5 showing she's in a cage getting insulted, treated badly, unable to speak and having grand dream to waking up to total nightmare surely not enough to most, including me
