Well, to be honest, I’m confused about who actually caused it. Was it the sister who triggered the avalanche?

The maid mentioned “tremors again,” which probably means a bomb, so it’s not the first time, or was it Reshutoka?

If it was the sister (the one who said she’d kill for the prince) then she was basically planning a mass murder, including all the maids.
If so LOL that's just funny, so much PRAISING her and never realizing it was all just a cover to murder her sister. And just shows how much she "really cares about others" if she's willing to kill ALOT just to get ONE PERSON. They'd die STILL thinking she was "so kind" while CURSING FMC as the cause cause "they wouldn't be out there if not for her PERCEIVED incompetence and VILLAINY!" Assuring even if they are GHOSTS, they'll still never figured she was the cause, just think it was "bad luck" while CURSING FMC because they wouldn't be out there if not for her!

While abit harsh, FMC isn't exactly WRONG that her maid is a failure for just LETTING her sister move around the premises and just ASSUMING she's "Being kind" and not trying to find a means to KILL MC (she should have had ALL of sister's "GIFTS" checked just to be sure, and VETTED all the "additional help" instead she's essentially just "The perfect maid" for the sister to have her sister be assigned, and incompetent naive fool to easily "pulled into PERCEIVED good deeds" to think about "her mistress safety" (goes into the whole "she's in the mindset FMC is just STUFFY and jealous of her NICE sister who ONLY wants her approvel! The perfect SERVENT for someone you want to assassinate since they'll NEVER check your TAINTED gifts before PRESENTING them to their "Master/Mistress" foolishly!

I think people here are way too light on Aurora. Sorry, but she sees the prince sending assassins after her and doesn't even try to tell him to stop. Not to mention that she's only taking action now after the first assassination attempt failed. Said assassination attempt itself would have probably worked too if not for Reshutoka. Considering how she didn't even see Karina off properly after the whole incident and just scowled at her through a window, along with not even looking for her sister after coming to visit, I'd say it's kind of clear Aurora isn't misunderstood.

The Maid let someone other than the master of the place make drastic changes to its exterior and interior. That kinda stuff should not have been approved unless her actual mistress was there. The maid should have refused any proposed refurbishments in her masters stead, so she pretty definitively failed to represent her mistresses will as she should have. I'd say she deserved it. (well maybe not the targeted avalanche xd)
Also to add, even IF Prince Moron was there (and you KNOW he was there) to ENFORCE Sister's will! Nothing was stopping the Maid from REVERSING the changes AFTER they left, she kept them LIKELY thinking her Mistress would be "happy her little sister is SO considerate of her!" stepping on a LAND MINE ignorantly! Most HATE FMC for acting up on the maid like this and some calling her REAL EVIL despite the story STARTING with her being SAVED from assassins send to KILL HER by her evil Ex!

It would be funny if the sister REALLY isn't evil, just a sheltered Fool who doesn't FULL realize her actions and the fact OTHERS have made it NEAR IMPOSSIBLE for any good deed her way for her sister to EVER have worked out in her favor cause to FMC she has to see ANY AND ALL ACTIONS as having MEANING behind them, she WAS being trained to be a QUEEN after all! In politics, even "Small" things that don't look much, could mean ALOT with more context! Sister REALLY likely thinks FMC did everything for HER SAKE and NOT that EX's wanted a "weak naive woman to feel like a BIG MAN in protecting" and her parents are SPOILING ENABLERS who likely ONLY okay the exile and change over because they are SURE the Crown Prince got the OKAY from his parents to do so who I have to wonder if they ARE aware of what he did! Guessing cause he had NO REASON to send assassins, and their BEST ones after her for no good reason other then "he didn't like her" unless he was hoping "when she suffers an ACCIDENT his parents would have no CHOICE but to OKAY his action to switch her out, while ALIVE his parents will throw the HAMMER at him and he'll be forced to COMPLY and bring her back along with SETTING SISTER ASIDE! A HUGE ego hit to his groin area at how SMALL he actually is! As if this is ONE GIANT EGO TRIP OF HIS! Yeah no wonder if his parents wanted FMC to be Queen to keep HIM in check and like many before him. Took advantage of them be Pre-disposed to act out his actions! It's the only thing that makes SENSE for wanting FMC dead! And make him a PRICK too that he can't JUST disgrace her by taking her hard work and sending her to GOD'S ARSSEHOLE, he has to kill her to in order to get his way....well we have KING HENRY TUDOR as one of MANY examples of MEN WITH POWER IN HISTORY WHO KILLED THEIR WOMEN WHEN THEY WANTED A NEW MODEL! Yes he killed two, but you know he'd have killed the others if there weren't CONSEQUENCES for doing so! There's also the possibility he KNEW she was competent and FEARED someone else PICKING her up, creating a DANGEROUS enemy that had JUSTIFIED reason for revenge against him. but knew if he tried to execute her, it would look bad for him and ESPECIALLY the "Replacement" so tried to have it SILENTLY done before anyone noticed. Now he'll likely KEEP bothering her becuase he won't be able to REST EASILY knowing she's out there likely PLOTTING AGAINST HIM, reminder this is an EGOTISTICAL asshole, so OF COURSE the world revolves around him

Everyone's jumping to conclusions, much like Karina is. We've only seen Aurora speak her mind in one scene set in the present, where she tells the prince not to send the army after Karina and instead "leave it all to me." We really have zero idea what her motives are. I really do think it's entirely possible that she means well but just doesn't fully understand her sister.

The prince is a bastard, though. The assassins were his.

So is her sister actually evil? No one knows her motives huh. Welp, 20 more chapters and we'll probably get a single clue :smugnako:

Honestly Karina's feeling is valid (if you got eyes you'll see that the maids survived) she felt that nothing was ever hers. I mean her parents treated her like shit always putting aurora first, the people did the same always looking at aurora like a fucking saint and her a villainess, and that fucking prince also did the same. And not to mention i think aurora knew what she's doing i don't think she's as innocent as how some of you sees her after all she grew up with her sister who have always need to give up what was hers for her. I get it if she didn't notice when she was a child but as an adult? Nah gang you gotta be fucking stupid for that. When she stole her sister's fiance did she ever think "oh i need to talk to my sister if she feels okay about this" but no she didn't. Atleast Reshutoka got balls to ask Karina from time to time what she wants (even tho she kind of kidnap her but oh well) but really among the people Karina met no one really ask her for what she wants and that's just fucked up. Now Karina feels that Reshutoka is the only thing she owns and that's kind of sad really but i do support her revenge arc so lets go😏

I agree, but I don't think this series is that deep where we have to read into the etiquette of a maid. Ciel seems completely oblivious to how Karina feels about her sister and the general politics of her situation. She's more a prop than a character.

Aurora's motivations are still in the dark. If you actually care about your sister, and you know she's got assassins coming after her, is fixing up her castle really that important that you'd bring a dozen maids and furnishing to do it? She's still very sus because of her inactions in confrontations.

Karina, for maybe the first time in her life and at least what we've seen of her, has finally expressed her desires to someone. Unfortunately or fortunately for some of you, it's at a time where she's feeling the most destructive. She acquiesced to her parents as a child without expressing her wants and this is where it led to.

The maid might be incompetent but she has her heart in the right place. A little bit too harsh on her imo

Thanks for the chapter 🙏🏼❤️‍🔥

This. And in the same statement, she hesitated in deciding how to address her sister. And we also completely forget the power differentials at play here. The Prince is an obvious psycho who always gets what he wants. The first page of the story literally states that he wanted Aurora and not Karina. If that’s the case I doubt Karina OR Aurora would have any say or sway in the matter, whatever their desires would be. And even though they are exiled Karina and her servants still technically remain subjects of the crown. If the King’s fiancé turned up to the castle of one of her absent subjects and decided to redecorate I doubt a single maid would be able to say “No.” And that would be if she was aware of any of the ill will, machinations, or toxic dynamics of her noble superiors as well!

I mean the swap to I love you and heres what I want from you. And the wolf being like say less
She's not actually in love. We, the audience, know that Karina dwells on the praises Reshutoka gives her in her ideal thoughts. But we also know that in her active thoughts, she puts on a charming and agreeable disposition to make Reshutoka give her something she wants. The situation is no different here.

Karina sees an insult and out of spite uses her wiles to cling to her "wife". If you notice, she shows off quite a bit of cleveage in that panel. She's not only showing off to Ciel, she's using her body for her own agenda.

If there's anything that Karina truly loves at this point, it's that Reshutoka is wrapped around her finger. Reshutoka is "hers". And as such is the only thing she has that hasn't been taken from her.

To add to this, let's also call back to chapter 1. Karina's memory of the canine stuffed animal is what made her spare Reshutoka and give food. But where is the animal now? Beaten and buried. A physical representation of the dark place her "marriage" now is.

I hope Karina gets revenge on everyone she wants, justified or otherwise.
I hope Karina and Reshutoka fall in love and become bona fide murder wives.
And I hope Karina and Reshutoka suffer no consequences whatsoever in the end.

In Madokami's name,
Amen 😇
