I’m…….. having trouble following.
I was really hyped about this to start and I’m still hoping we’ll turn this around but I’m done with the capital and these other characters. Eve is fine I guess, but I really don’t care about the rest of it.
I’ve come to the conclusion that none of the characters are trustworthy, least of all Karina.
It’s so inconsistent and the depictions are just so strange that I don’t believe Karina actually did anything wrong. Maybe she gave off the wrong impression, but considering what we just saw in this chapter?
It was false. It was lies. And Karina has been made to believe things about herself that are not true.
I THINK that’s what we’re sloppily doing with Eve in these chapters that we’ve been slogging through. The only thing that really makes sense is, as an outsider, she’s supposed to give us this perspective where things just aren’t what we’ve been told they are.
What I’m hoping for is not that Aurora will save Karina, but Karina will save herself. This started off so strong with Karina being yoinked out of what she knew and being plopped into a whole different culture.
She thinks she’s a monster, and now she’s living with people who have always been depicted as monsters but very clearly aren’t. I want her to see the parallel and find out who she really is rather than wallow in these lies. She doesn’t have to fit into that world she didn’t belong in. She can find a home for herself where she’s wanted and valued.
At least, that’s what I want. Dear story, I’m sick of these people. Please bring back Karina and help her work things out with her sorta-maybe-not-consensual-wolf-bride.
((Because that gave really strange vibes and I’m hoping we’ll somehow make that work out.))
That said, thank you for translating. I’m still here for Karina 🙏
