As much as it was helpful the method was, I think it was a bit too fast to go from a regular fire from an oven top to summoning a fire spirit. Trauma needs a lot of time and a lot of people who is willing to join the individual in their journey of healing before it can be fully removed from their mind.
also, yeah this fire train seems like a bit of a failure. Wonder if this is really just trauma or if it’s a curse
More likely trauma with how abusive her father became after she gain a contract with a spirit.

didn't it show that the reason for her trauma is cause her father attacked her with his fire spirit?

The arm chair psychiatrists are going to be out in force today.
The arm chair psychiatrists are inside this manga/chapter too.
"She has a trauma with/phobia of fire? Let's start exposing her to it and trigger her episodes as much as we can until she 'overcomes' it!"

Personally I don't know enough to say what is the right way to do it (faintly remember exposure therapy being said as counter-productive, but also heard that it is how you treat it, so I have received mixed signals on that), but I do know enough to know that rushing into triggering episodes is the wrong way to go about it.

You know you going too far if your kid even traumatized by it. I'm pretty sure her father never learn about it even after see it by both of his eyes. What a scumbag father.

Thank you for the update!

Sometimes, you have the choice of keeping your secret or preventing the treatment you don't like.

Why would it be common for servants to be of the same school? Preference?

Sienna seems to be part of the problem. If she's always talking about how dangerous fire is, that's only going to feed into Brigitte's fear of fire. And fire isn't dangerous if it's properly controlled.

Yeah, that's a phobia. Irrational fear of fire. While it's rational to have some degree of fear of fire, since it can be dangerous, feeling that kind of fear while just being near a small flame isn't rational.

And there we have the trauma flashback.

As much as it was helpful the method was, I think it was a bit too fast to go from a regular fire from an oven top to summoning a fire spirit.
Yeah, but you have to listen to her wishes. She needs to figure out at what speed she can do it herself, and that may require some trial and error. And as you should deal with the underlying trauma as well.

What I've heard is that it doesn't always work too well, but it is one of the best treatments for various fears.
