i can see what Naori did in this arc (not whole of it) make several people think either she’s a person who hear and help other oni in trouble or someone who isn’t loyal to Hinata

i honestly think what Naori did is a good thing for helping out Aju, but the way the author tried to make Naori showed her emphatic side ‘til she got her tears out is kind of… too much i’d say? i mean they just meet not so long, not even a day, and we feel like seeing Naori already fell over to Aju. that’s what i think why some people think MC isn’t loyal.

not that i feel bad for Hinata, i can see her having her own thing to settle the problem with Aju later.

I mean personally I think a few people are too jumpy and it's not a reflection on the author at all. There was nothing romantic between them. She just took a job as a quick favor, doing what she's always wanted to do. If anything the author took a couple key moments to make it very clear that there's nothing there (which I could show if that's needed) but those people ignored them. I just think some are seeing shadows and there's not much the author could do for them.

I like how Naori is such an empathetic bartender. She's spent so long alone in her bartending this is still really new. It makes me wonder if her family line has a longtime predisposition to ogre bartending in particular. Hopefully she develops some boundaries tho. She seems easily steamrolled and not every ogre will be as nice as these few have been so far I'd wager. And word about her seems to be out there. That doesn't seem good. Hinata might not be on all of their contact lists either.

Not sure how Hinata really feels about this. She didn't run out with an uneven haircut at least, and the text implied this was always a temporary need anyways, but Naori can be snatched by anyone else at any time too judging by this. They need to have a talk.

I mean, the author spend 3 whole volumes building up being oni's bartender is some sort of exclusive/"in a relationship" feeling and then a random brand new oni shows up, our MC doing the same thing with this new girl. It's not like this was advertised as some harem romcom with multiple heroines. Anyone would be jumpy too if one side of an established couples suddenly decided to be in relationship with another without telling anyone.

"walk freely under the sun"
What? There is some government's mandate "kill oni on sight" we didn't know or something because what we've seen thus far every single one of them are walking pretty freely. There is some weirdness about alcohol/foods but that can be solved pretty easily with money which all of them have plenty of.

She didn't suddenly decide to be in a relationship with anyone. She did a simple favor. She's also made alcohol for other oni already with and without Hinata there (Mikage), unless you're forgetting the earlier chapters. There's nothing about her not being able to make drinks for other oni. She's still Hinata's bartender and that was never in question. You're turning this into something it's not and that's not the authors fault. Hinata does not care that Naori worked with Aju (a family member), so I'm confused why other people are inserting themselves and being upset for her. It's creating an issue out of nothing. She's allowed to hang out with another girl. It's not a big deal.

The author made Aju acting like someone who try to steal other's "gf" and you're saying it isn't their fault people thinking that way? This manga is monthy(?) so people was sitting there wtf-ing for at least a month before "lol, she just want to be a friend" of this chapter showed up. Mikage also didn't just show up and be like "stop being her bartender, being mine instead".

Neither did Aju. But I can't continue arguing the rest. I don't think it's going to help. All that worry was unfounded and ended up predictably leading to nothing. Beyond that this manga is too chill for extended debates about what should have been small stuff. There's so much more going on in this manga and in this chapter, than this stuff.

Also this manga is not monthly and the recent chapters with Aju were released about a week apart each. So I really don't know what you mean by that.

The imagery was quite impactful. Hinata, sitting in the crowd, conflicted about what she just saw. Should she be proud of Aju's ingenuity or sad that she had come to this to be able to live freely outside?

Backstage, Naori certainly felt all the chains both Hinata and Aju are living with. All the pain and difficulties being bound by this curse bring everything single day and how unhealthily dependant they're to a simple bartender, a person who can leave them defenseless in a world where they want to belong.

Naori knows Aju's situation, she knows other ogres too, and for a time she herself used to have no friends before Hinata came along. A good song can amplify all of these feelings, so it makes perfect sense that Aju's performance would make her cry. (We as readers just miss out on the auditory part of her experience because we can't hear the music.)

I'm wrong about that, it's bi-weekly. I mean for the people who read RAW, they get 2 weeks of "is this chilled shit I like suddenly turns into NTR?". You got it a week apart cuz it's a tankoubon scan.

Now for my real though about the manga after chilling for a few days: I lost interested. It fell into the same hole every story out there did before: in an attempt to "expand the universe/lore/story" they turn it into a meh generic story. Yuri(NTR) or no, a shiny coat of paint on a millions told story ain't gonna cut it.

Are you reading the current manga, meaning up to chapter 30? It doesn't sound like you're reading it but you're making statements about the series as though you've read it all.

You're overreacting to a character (Aju) based on very little and are also assuming things about the story that are not the case. The fact that you mentioned NTR let's me know you haven't been reading the up to date manga. There's nothing to worry about based on these last 2 chapters.

And generic is not something I'd describe this story with but once we actually catch up, we can talk about that. The story is also not exactly chill. They just fought a demon and nearly died. The oni are in hiding. This is not high school fluff. It has its soft moments and its serious moments.

The public will just assume the horns were a costume to go along with the concept. Should have drank alcohol on stage. Well, it could still be excused as a gimmick.
Since Aju looks like an underage girl (nowhere near 20, Japan's drinking age) her drinking alcohol openly on stage would probably cause all kinds of problems for her, the venue, her management, etc.
