kinda wish the whole reincarnation shtick was done differently, like instead of remembering everything, it was more like dreams/nightmares and deja-vu and stuff like that. It's just me but i am getting tired of seeing babies acting like 30yr old men

There's a couple of series like that. God I'm blanking on the name, but there's this one where the main character basically just has their past lives in their head (voices in their head). They still are their own person, but they also have the past lives (one Japanese and one like an old wizard) give advice and explaining stuff. Actually if anyone knows that Manga that'd be great.

I was very interested in the story and decide to check the original work.
But i only found the Web novel, translated by soafp (https://soafp.com/dropped/aldos-reincarnation/chapter-1-prologue-2/) And to be completely honest... Its dogshit... Its not a translation quality issue, the story is just a worse version in every way, the MC wasn't depressed because of loss, he was just mildly bored, he didn't want to learn magic to protect anyone, he just though magic was cool, a transcript from the WN summary "His ultimate goal? To master a cheat-like, yet flaw-filled, ultimate magic and engage in stylish, cool battles!".
Looked a bit more into it and it seems the LN only has 3 volumes, the last one released 2 months ago. You can buy it but i don't think its anywhere online

I wonder where the story change came from. Is it the light novel? That can happen once there's an editor involved. Or did the manga specifically do this and like where did the idea come up because that sounds like a drastically different story than this one. The entire premise is flipped.

I’ll say to his defense, that was a paltry amount of water compared to what a fire hose can shoot out so it’s understandable he wasnt impressed. The other thing to consider is up until his mom used her ice magic, he probably had only ever seen small scale magic like the laundry stuff

if he's smarter, he should be able to guess that pro magic users can do more op stuff when even a commoner maid can use it & to that degree.
