it's supposed to be a "modern knowledge" cheat code. since it wasn't correct knowledge, it doesn't make sense to not mention that the only reason it worked is because the fantastical chemistry was altered to specifically make it possible to happen.

it's just a mistake on the author's part in researching science facts.
