My favourite localised title translation is "Schindler's List" to the Swedish "Schindlers List".

But really, translated titles are a thing that happens. I don't think it's that important that they're literally translated. On the other hand, this title is kind of bad, so they could've done a better job at it.
I don't really delve into localization vs literal translation, but this talk about titles making no sense reminded me of the way movies are titled in my country. Like Die Hard - people in my country decided that this thing translated as is wouldn't "catch up", so they basically screened the movie, and called it "Glass trap" cause the plot happens in a damn sky-scraper full of glass. Heck I read that the titles are actually "OKed" by original authors and not just wishy-washy stuff on out end.

Stuff is all fine and dandy, till you have 4 more damn parts of the movie, and few of them have nothing to do with "glass traps" any more, so like its either a funny title, or sometimes they go back to original names, untranslated, especially lately as English knowledge in the populous risen high enough or something.

Oh come on, no introvert romance newbie ever passes the false dichotomy test, the "which do you think looks better on me?" question, this is just absurd rizzler mcrizzleson writing :kek:

That nanpa amateur would be dead (or at least beaten halfway there) here in northern Europe if he went around calling folks dressed in black cockroaches. Plenty of metalheads around, haha. And numerous other folks who aren't metalheads but still wear all black.
Reading your comment with that sinister ass PFP are so funny lol

His fit isn't that bad, it looks pretty decent. I was expecting something way more edgy and chunibyo from the LN description. Its going to be nice to see their date and the aftermath
my thoughts exactly

might be because I have two sisters but even if they were step siblings just being raised together would have put me off from any attraction. That girl kinda weirds me out because of this.

Unless their families married when they were teenagers and already grown, but the fact she calls him big bro instinctively means they have probably have been siblings for a while, and just recently started dating.

All in all, girl freaks me out for this thing she's got going with her brother. If this was an 18+ doujin thing then it'd be fine, but I don't wanna see that in a lovey-dovey manga bro.

It's fake though so I'm not gonna take it too seriously but it put me off of the rest of the chapter :/

The MC in this is actually likable which is insane. It says "Introvert" but he isn't a complete pushover and embarrassment when talking to and dealing with people like most MCs are like in these types of mangas.
Almost like he's actually just an introvert and doesn't have clinical social anxiety

On one hand she does instinctively call him big bro, but on the other they said her boyfriend "turned out" to be her step brother, which makes it sound like the boyfriend part came first

this white knight cliche is so boring and every single manga does it. it's never about being actually possessive, it's only ever about defending her dignity or whatever, but the girls always like it anyway. wishful thinking nonsense.
this was hardly the worst execution but it's still so dumb.
probably never happens in real life either, japanese men are too spineless
umm... if a girl is in actual danger, all but the craziest are perfectly happy for a guy to be a 'white knight' as long as he's not freaking weird about it and doesn't expect some kind of reward for it, just like most people when someone helps them out.

calling him big bro 'instinctively' doesn't actually mean anything in most asian languages. My daughter is mixed race and bilingual and trying to explain to her the difference between calling someone sister/brother in her mother's tongue, where it's used for basically anyone older than you and is absolutely used with lovers if the age range is right, and in English where it's not used as a form of address much at all and is mostly confined to the familial relationship, is really hard. She essentially doesn't get it.

Quite likely, she'd be calling him Oni-chan or the like even if they weren't related at all.

That all said, it is odd and would be odd even in Asia, and if we're not going to get an explanation as to why, odds are it's just an author's fetish thing. I was just saying that her calling him big bro specifically doesn't mean much.
