You know even though shes pretending to be a bitch shes still afflicting mental abuse on her maid. If.someone who belittled me told me they were only pretending to be a bad I'd probably punch them
I know she said he was gay.... But didn't those eyes look like he cared about her more than just as a friend?
Maybe not.... Maybe I'm just too used to seeing a dense protagonist not noticing someone else's feelings and I am superimposing that onto this guy too haha
@Xeredge Not really. In a lot of books I've read, you either get married to get the financial support you need, live with a relative and be a disgrace, have the intelligence and write under a masculine pen name or teach, be a servant if you have the skills (which is really rare amongst nobles since they're only taught the basic ideas or none at all), or live in the red light district (this is especially in Asia). It isn't uncommon.
Who said he was in love with her? Finding someone aesthetically pleasing is not the same as finding them arousing or attractive, never mind believing that finding someone to be beautiful automatically means having romantic feelings for that person.
@Ironclad they didn't say he's in love with her... And being gay doesn't mean that you can't see beauty in the opposite sex...
I'm straight and I can appreciate a girl's beauty.. what you're saying doesn't make sense 😅
@Roxymissy It just feels like an excuse to give her attention from the opposite sex without her fidelity being brought into question. Every decision she makes seems like a convoluted excuse to treat her husband badly while feigning innocence.
