I don't think we know anyone else's age except Shinozaki, and she's 27.
Japan is sorta traditional and conservative still, and I think many still expects women who marries to be housewives and take care of the children and not pursue a career.
At least that's what I've learned from reading Japanese comics over the years.

That's one thing I just can't understand about the Japanese. For being such an advanced country, they still have some of the most backwards, patriarchal dominated, and extreme traditionalism for a first world country. This whole "women belong in the kitchen" crap, shouldn't still be a thing in a free thinking society.

Being advanced has nothing to do with having non traditional gender roles or be tolerant towards someone. A more progressive society just causes awful birth rates and the country is doomed because of it. It is better to have high birth rates while having less freedoms for some people it it means that the country will prosper.
