Bittersweet that it ended, but Im happy that I was here from start to finish.

The ending is vague for sure, but I like vague. It let's us have our own interpretation of the ending.

I believe that in real life, their child died. One, having a child with your imouto obviously will have a great chance of birth defects. Everybody including mc knows this. Second, he said, "In this future, they celebrate their daughters birthday and live happily ever after. So WHAT do they celebrate in this timeline every year? Their child's death anniversary. At least this is my head canon. It is not a perfect ending, but much like their relationship, you can find happiness despite imperfection.

10/10 I wish I had a little sister too

the ending isn't "open for interpretation" or whatever, since before we knew his manga is based on his real life, the last page was drawn in the exact manner they were posing as a family panels before, the faces are a bit different for obvious reasons so i believe its literally the ending it is looking to be

Peak Wincest. :win::thumbsup:

There I said it. It had a some romance, some drama, some spice, some mindbreaking, reverse NTR(sad but funny), yandere, even the "revenge" against the parents was very tasteful imo, and to top it off we got this last chapter with them living their married life with their daughter, instead of the usual imagine their happily ever after for yourself bs.

I think I can say that if i want to recommend some incest to my fellow men of culture, this will be the first one on my mind.

Edit: Also is it just me or does mc and fmc parents look very similar. I wonder if they were projecting some personal issues into their kids. Hmmm....

Wow, this series....Talk about a Roller Coaster, Lmao. NGL this story felt like 2 different manga stapled together. Everything from chapter 14 onward felt like a completely different story, going from more psychological to more "wholesome" slice of life romance.

Out of all 3 of Hano Sensei's incest works, this one definitely had the messiest plot. By extension it was the most "interesting" story, but still was basically a mess that was all over the place. But i'm starting to view that as part of this manga's charm. Sure, Shizuku can be a WALKING red flag, but her love(AND LUST) for Kouta was as genuine as it gets. And sure Kouta has some...."tendencies" lets say, but even he had a genuine capacity for good and introspection inside.

A point can be made that the main theme of this manga (other than of course, just incest in general) is the idea that happiness can be found in even the most fucked up of situations. And that what matters is being true to yourself, owning your "freak" if you will.

In a way the first "section" of the story can be seen as both Kouta and Shizuku not being true to themselves, and as a result having their efforts end up blowing up in their faces. Kouta, denying his feelings for his sister, and trying to force himself into a "normal relationship". Shizuku trying to use underhanded manipulative tactics to keep Kouta as her's while holding back what she really wants as well.

When chapter 14 hits, and the true confessions finally come out, despite how genuinely fucked it all is, you can't deny that it's finally the siblings' chance to be true to themselves, and to each other. And with that honesty the two of them were finally able to get what they really wanted. They were able to truly live their lives feeling happy and fulfilled having the person they love most at their side.

My favorite part of the story was definitely the latter section, getting to see Kouta and Shizuku be happy, freaky, but happy. Matching each other's freak lol. And the confrontation between the siblings and their parents was legit a fantastic way to handle a conflict like this. Shizuku putting her foot down and defending the man she loves, defending their perfect life they finally were able to find together, and Kouta being able to actually speak up for himself and declare his purpose in life were really SURPRISINGLY poignant moments. The mother getting a cruel taste of reality, and the consequences of her dog water parenting skills. And the dad....uh....he was...there i guess. I'm sure he's distraught too.....i think.
And then the final chapter happened. And the question on everyone's mind "IS THE INCEST BABY REAL!?" and honestly, like many people have stated in this comment section, I think it's meant to be up to interpretation.

Both possibilities have equal weight in my opinion. The sheer existence of Kouta's drawing brings the possibility to light of You's existence being a fantasy. But at the same time, the drawing itself isn't one to one with how the real family looks. But conversely, all the events of that chapter feel a little TOO perfect, like Kouta and Shizuku's perfect fantasy. But ALSO ALSO, the idea of Kouta drawing something he didn't take direct inspiration from goes against his writing style we've seen throughout the whole manga, and how he very rarely comes up with completely original ideas. And honestly the list goes on for possibilities on BOTH sides of this argument. Which i just think is a incredibly well done ending for a story like this. (although my biased incest loving ass likes to think You isn't a fantasy and the family gets to live happily ever after)

Honestly Hano sensei didn't need to go this hard in making an ambiguous ending, but she did and i applaud her for it.
In conclusion, this was a very enjoyable story for a incest enjoyer like myself. It was a very bumpy ride, with a lot of "THIS IS SOME FUCKSHIT" moments, but honestly that adds to the story's charm for me. It DEFINITELY isn't perfect, and could've used some more fleshing out in A LOT of places, but like the main theme itself, even in a fucked up situation, some real happiness can be found.
