@suspiro He's still in his first year and has been playing football "wrong" for his entire life before. He always played instictually, so now he is learning another way to play in the hardest youth league in Japan. Going by what Fukuda says, his strength will never be technical. He's always working on getting better and has gotten a lot better, but I don't think this is the type of manga to give such an unsatisfying conclusion to character's development. I personally like the pace of skill increase he has, it doesn't ever really feel cheap. Only complaint I can think of is Tripone doing a vertical split and bring the ball down with his heel or whatever.
