This is the first time I've heard the words 'manga adaptation.' My god, I used to be anime only, and just three weeks ago, I started reading my first LN. How deep does this hole go?

In no particular order or expectation of completeness:

• writing fanfiction
• drawing fanart
• doing cosplay
• learning weeaboo
• joining a fansub/scanlation group as QC/Editor/Redrawer
• joining a fansub/scanlation group as a translator
• publishing original works (art or writing)
• financially successfully publishing original works

This premise is endearing from the fact that our own idols or favorite streamers might even have this same kind of aspiration..

So instead of treating this as a self-insert, it'll feel better as a headcanon that our oshis are good at heart - no matter how toxic or wacky they may be mid-stream.

p.s. I'm talking about you, tiny gremlin in an orange hoodie. The shoebox has been getting thrown around a lot lately, though I'm not complaining at all.

Edit: in all seriousness. I was anime only, now I don't watch any anime. I started with light novels through Kindle, then Novel Updates for fan translations of both light novels and web novels. JP exclusive. Then I got into Korean webnovels (I've read a few Chinese ones but they're just... Sooooo bland after a while) then I got into Manga adaptions here on Mangadex, then Manga originals, and Korean webtoons, now I have accounts on Batotoo and Reaperscans to go along with Novel Updates and Mangadex. So, back to the image: the ride never ends.

He needs to make a presence, so he play toxic, because playing normally obviously doesn't work. With subscriber count that high, he pretty much already established himself as a toxic gamer. Since everyone know he is supposed to be toxic, the shock value of that sudden reveal is higher. If he is not known as a toxic gamer, I think there wouldn't be much uproar.
