Hah, this is a really weird series. It's...funny...but also sad...and a bit disturbing.
"Good slavery" is way too common in manga, but I'm not easily offended and this is strangely funny. That said, I can't quite understand where the young Miss Lady is coming from or why she takes such insistent pride in her poverty.

Is she fallen nobility? Does she really think commoners are of lower social station than slaves? Just delusional???

I suppose it doesn't matter. Her back-and-forth with the baffled straight man Commoner is priceless.
She doesn't see "commoner" as a derogatory term. TCommoner are higher up in the social hierarchy, as she's a slave, and she refers to them as a monolith.
So when she says "I can't sleep on a bed like a commoner", it's like if a commoner were to say "I can't sleep in this duvet like a noble".

edit: turns out there's untranslated extra page on a few chapters behind a paywall where
they have sex
but I have no idea if they're canon

Basically Power from Chainsaw Man gets reincarnated in another world. Kind of.

Knowing the author, I knew that the lighthearted comedy segment isn't gonna last forever but even that didn't prepare me for the plot's escalation.

Hey guys, I don't think putting the "Comedy" tag in a Hamita's work is fit tho 😭

Series over...what a ride.

I can't wait to see the discussions on the later chapters once the English translations are done.

Oh man, what an ending lol. I think that it's in line with the author's former work and that this one was done quite well. But I'm personally extremely disappointed, because I foolishly expected a happy ending. But this was my first Hamita manga, so you just gotta experience one first before knowing what to expect I guess lol. I do think it's a bit of a waste of such interesting characters and their dynamic, though, even if the tragedy is done quite poetically. Probably gonna steer clear of Hamita's work, my heart can't really take it.

Yeah, it was first time reading a Hamita manga as well and read a lot of warnings in the early chapters that the tone of the story will shift drastically, and I shouldn't expect the comedy aspect of the story to last forever, etc.

Up to the point when the duo reached the abandoned village, I thought the series wasn't too shocking but the turning point for me and probably a lot of people is how they dealt with the country bumpkin. It was a shocking and cruel twist and I still wonder what compel the commoner to say that to the country bumpkin.

Overall, I think this is an engaging manga that grips your attention throughout the entire run. I can see why Hamita is infamous lol. Like you said, I don't think I will read another one of his works so soon lol.

Amazing how every series this guy does has a good or decent hook but then degrades to straight ass because he's trying to do some message or subvert expectation. His one shots are aight tho.
