this was such a good chapter, felt so relatable! even though emi and sachiko have really different lives now they were able to eventually reconnect smoothly - it totally reminds me of some of my childhood friendships. maybe they can be close again since emi really needs more friends in her life omg

So it turns out that I was not entirely correct on my presumption that we would know the timetable on when Sachiko got married and started having her family, given as how she did not state how old the daughter she accompanying was. Though, through the other things she said in this chapter we can surmise some details of her family: the daughter we see is either in high school or late middle school given that Sachiko states her being rebellious; this subsequently leads to the presumption that Sachiko got married and had her daughter in her mid-20s. Sachiko also presumably has multiple daughters due to her speaking of them in plural.

The custorial job we see Emi doing on the last page (and the one she will presumably lose in the next chapter), one wonders if this was the job she was able to get directly after the previous job interview from last chapter. presumably, fell through, or if this is part of a series of jobs she has not been able to hold down. We are definitely going to see Emi having a real bad time next chapter.
