No, you're not the only one. That was my reaction.

I immediately thought the intent with this chapter was to put all the harem noise to rest so we can just get back to stories about a guy surrounded by bizarre goofballs.

Then I opened up this discussion thread, only to see pretty much nothing but harem noise...

You're dead wrong, author used time leap to recount from before white day. So now we'll have more random chapters without the harem-romance in the middle.
