Weird Japanese cultural things... the idea that they can get more powerful by fusing together...
... But in case anyone forgot, this was just one angel in the first place that split off into 6.
So how in all fuck does 1 splitting into 6 then recombining back into 1 somehow multiply its power?
Anyhow... I always found this trend to be a bit... contradictory.
I mean given Japan is culturally all about both hard work and the supposed superiority of group / community effort / power of friendship / whatever... then why would fusing make anything better? Surely that just implies that an individual is stronger than a group, which is directly contrary to their entire ethic.
... Oh well. Whatever. It is a trope. Onward I go.
