What kind of idiot bandits attacks a clearly well armed group/caravan? Since they're noble/military i assume they'd move in at least a sizeable group too.

There is no way a group of bandits would attack a single knight in full armor without hesitating, so a full company, no way. This a dumb, if the author wants to draw that, he should at least make the bandits desesperate so there would be a reason to attack them.

Cute first half of the chapter... but That fight made no sense.. it was a weak set up ... npc looking bandits attacking a whole set of knights? It would’ve been more convincing if we were shown some unique ambush-friendly terrain...but that was an easy open-field slaughter ..

What a weak ass ambush, they should had have used crossbows, even if they're peak fighters they can't dodge crossbow bolts.

making a bloody scene romantic is fucked up... I mean come on he is covered in blood and we have flower background ! this isn't comedy or tragedy it's pitiful!
if she crumbled from her PSTD or if he discovered her identity it would've been better...

Am I the only one who still dislikes him ? It feels like everyone started with hating him but grew to like him and I didn't.
I don't think he is the worst but he is far from being an ideal ML. I get that even historically speaking, countries kill the nobles of the country they're invading. That's a given so it's not complete nonsense that he nearly killed her in the beginning. However, his subordinate that wanted to have fun with her just disgusted me and the ML who has such high ranking subordinate isn't any better.
Also, just because he isn't the devil it doesn't mean she should fall for him. He almost killed her, how do you go from that trauma to falling for him (we all know it'll eventually happen). It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I would've felt better if she ended up with the servant sh's friends with

I keep trying to like this but there are so many little issues each chapter like, He says she doesn't lie while using an example of her lying straight to his face, some other people ruined those clothes. Why would anyone attack them who doesn't know about this expedition, isn't it called "the hunt" and a massive deal that lasts about a year.
Why did he pick her up and hold her so close, he's not aware of any feeling for her other than "she's one of mine" if that's true would he pick up anyone else like that, say a male guard. Where did trigger go, he just left her there in the dirt, didn't even check on her? Anyways, I still hope the flow gets better
