the team has leveled up for sure, that cover alone is amazing. thanks for the translation.

plotwise i think it's pretty obvious that Silat and Daiba will soon permanently join the gang as the assassin class and the summoner/archwizard class, which i guess leaves ol' Skully as the "super badass who only joins the party temporarily each time they meet him" guy.

Bro we have been on the same fucking boat for 10 years. I have gone from rereading the series 5+ times to just wanting this shit to end. Two month wait for Guts to fall on his face? Good analogy for the series honestly.
10 years? The first time they stepped on that boat was back in 2006, so it's closer to 17 years now.
Coincidentally berserk had been running for 17 years when they first stepped on that boat.

I think this is the best chapter from Mori thus far. The art is improving every chapter, and the dialogue feels so natural and progressive. I can't wait to read the next one soon (hopefully within the next few months)

So the Scanpi version was deleted. Wonder if they were trolling something...
They weren't trolling, they just uploaded their version on leaked raws with an awful translation before the official release date had passed, which is against the rules.

He was barely cutting 16 pages with years of hiatus. Again, I'm not disrespecting his work, he was already disrespecting it himself by taking the long breaks even when it was his one and only manga running throughout his adult life.
I mean are you able to create not just one single drawing, but an entire episode's worth of drawings with at least 75+ (that's just in this episode alone) individual drawings/scenes/close-ups with as much detail as Miura puts into his drawings?

Not even taking the Fantasia arc and the Falconia chapter into account, think about the level of detail he put into each and every panel during the entire Millennium Falcon arc. During that single double page splash spread of the Kushan army surrounding Vrittanis before Guts' booze cruise became a full blown PTSMeme and everyone was still hyped to watch Miura draw Griffith and the new Band fight Ganishka for the first time after Guts and Zodd teamed up to fight his lightning God form with Daiba hanging around.

And that was still before digital art became the norm and at best was still a new fad that hadn't fully caught on yet.

The amount of detail and effort Miura put in each panel was insane. The majority of the people reading it usually just blow through the chapter like you did and complain about the lack of progress or the lack of page count for the amount of time they had to wait.

Meanwhile the man was literally killing himself drawing every single panel and had to be forced to take breaks before his hiatuses became mandatory because all day every day he sat at his desk drawing the way he did in every episode he drew and released.

Hell, even the Golden Age arc and the Conviction arc alone, before he had to worry about hiatuses and he was still young enough that his health wasn't on his mind. He still worked himself nearly to death drawing the amount of detail in each panel in those arcs too.

And everyone even agreed that those were still him finding his stride and still improving his craft, while the Millennium Falcon arc was agreed to be his absolute peak in drawing skill.

It's obvious that as he got older and his health became worse that the hiatuses got longer that the art would slowly suffer throughout the Fantasia arc.

And sure, no one knew the details cause we're all just readers that aren't from the country the series is serialized in, so it's not like we would know why, but up until his death, he still kept drawing all the episodes he had made, and every release, people got pissed art wasn't good anymore or the chapter wasn't long enough to justify the past hiatus, when at the very end, the hiatuses were surprisingly a month or two at the least and a year at most, compared to the two or three year minimum to nearly four to five year maximum between not volume's, but episodes, back when he was still healthy enough that the breaks helped prolong his life without having procedures done.

And yet here you are, talking shit when, like the rest of us, you don't know any actual details that none of us have no business knowing beyond the official statements and interviews, and most likely don't even have the ability to measure up to even a single panel's worth of his drawing skills.

If you actually knew how to draw like him, you probably wouldn't complain at all.

Hell I can't draw for shit and can still appreciate the amount of time and effort he, and many others, put into their art. Especially at the end when he was getting the most shit because his health was at its worst and he didn't say anything because he wanted to finish as much of the story as he could while he was able.

Plus Studio GaGa and Mori both were in close proximity to Miura. They, of all people, know how much pressure they're under by choosing to continue Berserk until it reaches its conclusion. Both in terms of story, and in terms of art. That's exactly why they're dropping any vague plots they have little details for and are only covering the plotlines Miura had fully and completely outlined along with provided details to Mori for during idle conversations and actual story conversations between colleagues and friends.

They know how fucked they are if they do a single thing to fuck up the series, which was why the made sure to emphasize that they're only covering what they're covering and nothing else.

And even if they're his assistants and apprentices, especially because they are, they're probably harder on their art than even you must be, based on your complaints, hence the delays.

I mean just appreciate what we get when we get it, why bother bitching about something you can't do yourself or have any control over lol bitching because it's all anyone can do about something just makes them seem petty doesn't it?

I mean how annoyed are you right now reading all this? I probably sound super preachy right? Cause you can't come here and shut me up physically lol. I'm not a TV you can turn off, I'm a comment you're reading after I already finished typing it and turned it into a rambling rant lmfao see how annoying it is to read another person bitch about something that you care enough to bitch about? I mean why do it at all lol

This is the first chapter since Miura's passing that isn't shit. Art, panels and dialog have improved to acceptable quality measured by berserk standards. I'm not gonna get my hopes up because that last panel with the dude looking at the sun looks like the same crap they have been peddling so far

Somehow this chapter had almost everyone's expressions more on point and almost comparable to how Miura-Sensei would depict.

Now that you mention it Berserk basically died once they stepped on that boat. It just was not the same afterwards.

Yet again, nothis happened, this is why it was better to do nothing rather than destroying the legacy of the manga.
The resistance group is now formed.
Guts, Serpico, Scihierke, Bakiraka with Prince, Daiba and rest.
Also, from previous chapters, Guts's goals of revenge against Griffith and/or saving Caska finally coalesced into one.
I still feel that the overall manga finale should be during another eclipse, possibly triggered by Guts (since he's in possession of Behelit and all). Would he sacrifice his current group in order to kill Griffith and rescue Caska?

I actually prefer the way Mori and Friends are doing it. It might or might not have been Miura's original intention but the team's pacing creates a progressively, and relatively quickly, increasing sense of urgency - a crescendo, if you will. It does make sense to have that kind of vibe as we get nearer and nearer to the climax of the plot. But all of these dudes most likely have their own individual projects which explains the gap between releases.

With the way the story is developing and the chapters are releasing this will quite literally never finish
