Had they just left him alone, he never would have returned. Empires just can't leave well enough alone, their obsession with control is what ultimately dooms them.

Question to Novel readers who are far ahead, is there ever any great mystery to Leon's actual parents, or is he just an orphan because that's cool. I feel like it is too odd he gets adopted by like the sword master of the empire and his wife, see spoiler above, and he is so broke in terms of power even compared to dragons, to not be more to his parentage.

Thought Rebecca referring tiger as uncle was some kind of translation mistake, but guess not. Also kinda surprised she keeps calling Leon captain even when their talking casually instead of like brother, bc she does say she sees leon as a brother in a way last chapter

Good thing the author hasn't conveniently forgot about Leon's mana problem. I am really glad that Rebecca shows absolutely no inclination to get inbetween our favorite roleplay-loving couple, a role as Leon's little sister suits her better. I think she would get along great with her 'nieces', especially Muen. In the last chapter we already got a glimpse of (presumably) Rossweise on the rooftops, so I guess she will soon meet her father-in-law and kind of sister-in-law personally.
