He suppressed his surprise and replied calmly, "When you dragons fight amongst yourselves, I couldn't care less if you kill each other until the sky turns dark. But if you keep fighting, you're going to hurt my wife and kids, and that changes things."
"Heh, wife and kids... Casmode, once the strongest has a weakness, he is no longer the strongest."
Leon slowly raised his right hand, lightning once again gathering in his palm.
The blue light reflected off his blood-covered helmet. From under the armor, the man replied, word by word, "Constantine, I will show you what it means to be the strongest."
"And, they are not a weakness—"
As his voice fell, Leon instantly vanished from his spot.
When he reappeared, he was already at Constantine's side, having attacked with lightning speed.
"—they are family."
Before Constantine could even prepare a magical counter-attack, Leon burst out from the dust cloud, charging straight for him.
"So fast..." Constantine exclaimed inwardly.
Of course he was fast; he could keep up with the Silver Dragon Queen.
Constantine had no time to launch an attack and could only spread his dragon wings in a defensive posture. This was a unique combat style of the dragon race: when outmatched, turtle up.
All of Leon's countless past combat experiences and muscle memory were reawakened. He adjusted his posture in time, stepped on Constantine's wing, and used the momentum to leap into the air, circling behind Constantine.
Then, before he could react, Leon thrust a Chidori forward, striking Constantine squarely in the back.
When a dragon uses its wings for defense, its back becomes the greatest opening.
But as expected of a Dragon King.
A direct hit from a Chidori at such close range actually failed to pierce through Constantine's body—
Yes, in Leon's view, failing to run an enemy through meant the enemy was quite formidable, and he would have to try harder.
Little did he know, Constantine's back had already been severely wounded by that one Chidori.
Leon withdrew, putting distance between himself and Constantine.
Constantine was breathing heavily. He spread his wings and slowly turned around.
His crimson dragon eyes were filled with fury.
"Casmode, you've pissed me off."
"Is that so? Well, once I kill you, you won't be angry anymore."
"Human, you will pay the price of your life for your arrogance!"
With a deafening roar, Constantine transformed back into his great dragon form.
Leon's human body instantly seemed frail and small before him.
A massive shadow loomed over Leon, but he was long accustomed to such scenes.
He had seen even larger Dragon Kings. How could he possibly be intimidated by Constantine?
The great red dragon beat its wings and raised its head high.
Immediately, three enormous magic circles lit up behind him.
Within the circles, the elemental powers of ice, fire, and wind converged into countless sharp blades, all stabbing towards Leon.
But Leon did not dodge or evade, intending to meet the attack head-on.
He had the skill and courage for a life-or-death struggle; there was no need to waste time with maneuvering.
The power of lightning filled his entire body, greatly enhancing his defense and speed.
He weaved nimbly through the rain of elemental blades. Even if he was hit, the powerful lightning would shatter them.
Leon moved faster and faster, becoming a blur of blue lightning, closing in on the space beneath Constantine's massive foreleg at a speed nearly invisible to the naked eye.
Constantine wanted to pull back and retreat.
But it was too late.
A torrent of lightning element burst forth from Leon's body.
The dragon crest on his chest began to glow with an unprecedented deep blue light.
In an instant, Constantine's entire left foreleg was paralyzed, completely numb.
He lowered his draconic head and continuously spewed dragon fire at Leon below, trying to drive him away.
But Leon's speed far exceeded his expectations.
Before the numbness in his foreleg had even subsided, Leon had stepped on his knee and leaped effortlessly onto his back.
Standing atop Constantine's dragon back, Leon raised his right hand. In the dim night sky, thick dark clouds instantly gathered.
Within the clouds, thunder rumbled and lightning flashed.
At this moment, Leon was like a god who commanded the thunder. The most turbulent, violent, and uncontrollable element in nature was being wielded by him with divine skill.
S-rank Lightning Magic: Myriad Thunder Heavenly Guidance.
BOOM!—
"ROAR!!!"
A terrifying bolt of lightning slammed down viciously. Accompanied by Constantine's agonized roar, his spine and his entire torso lost all feeling.
A human... how could a human possibly be this strong!
Constantine flapped his wings with all his might, struggling, trying to throw Leon off his back.
But Leon was now like a cold, indifferent butcher.
All he had to do was kill the beast beneath his feet.
The Myriad Thunder Heavenly Guidance just now had consumed a great deal of his magic, so...
"This is the last move, Constantine."
Leon pressed his palms together, then slowly pulled them apart. The lightning between his hands took the shape of a longsword.
He gripped the lightning sword, then viciously pierced it through the scales on Constantine's back.
The tearing of flesh and blood, the wail of a Dragon King—for Leon Casmode, the strongest dragon slayer, this was the most wonderful moment.
However, it wasn't over.
Clutching the lightning sword, Leon began to run along Constantine's broad dragon back.
The blade's edge carved a path along his spine all the way to the back of his neck.
Everywhere Leon passed, lightning exploded, flesh flew, and scales shattered.
Constantine's agonizing cries caused the two dragon clans, still locked in a stalemate on the battlefield, to simultaneously stop fighting.
Whether they were from the Crimsonflame Clan or the Silver Dragon Clan, they all stared, dumbfounded, at the scene before them.
Constantine's enormous body lay prone on the ground like a collapsed mountain
