it's also been a while since i reread the entire thing so i might get some details wrong:

i hate how everyone's arguing over if it's BL.
the genre isn't romance, at all... all it features a boy trying to find his way with art and the people he meets along the way. so what if there's a bi (crossdressing) boy? it's representation. don't know why everyone's so pressed over that one guy. he can dress in whatever tf he wants, okay?

this story is really a piece of art itself, it's one of the first mangas I've seen that openly remarks a person as bi. Like, not just bromance on a different level, this seriously states it (albeit in passing). basically everything in this is, aha *chefs kiss.* really beautiful and stunningly written.

This is one of my favorite mangas, i'm so glad the rating is high so more people can find out about this gem.

After reading raw, I could say it not about crossdressing boy, it about tartan shirt boy. You could read author's one shot in his pivix 🙃

It's about how a artist create a masterpiece. And life of artist who created masterpiece is masterpiece and this manga is tell a story of it.

The story is good and more like some of the character development arcs are really cool and great...

About the crossdressing guy he is just a side side character, and there is no love,
romance sort of stuff, people saying that are yet to read this manga yet..

It will be definitely under top 5 in the slice of life category...

The pacing in this was shit, read like 3 chapters and nothing's happened. The MC is boring and uninteresting. Feels like this is going noware fast, are people just voting this high because it has a trans in it? wew

@sexism y'know, you say nothing's happened but the mc throughout those chapters is realizing a passion and by the third chapter is working towards it. 3 chapters is a bit little to base a manga opinion on, if it's not for you that's fine - i'd say that probably hinges on if you like the character writing and whether or not you're curious about art. i'm guessing it's just a troll account i'm replying to, but whatever.

Does anyone know if this has a paper version - I mean probably not because only translation I could find is this one. And how many chapters are currently out in Japanese?

I checked out when the teacher talked and nagged about the ratio of painting and looking/thinking to tell which art is good... If i had to describe the manga in 1 word it would be boring. Its just not interestingly written, so it just bores u alot.

Til now it just reads like a documentary on tv. I can tell you the endgoal of the manga in real life though. Work a job that has no use of your art diploma or draw porn, if you want to have a living wage. Otherwise work for below a living wage in the industry of comics/manga/animation.

@sexism If u check earlier comments people appearently vote this up, because the translator asked them to. So now hordes of spamvoters come and jerk the series just like what happened with Frieren.

@Andraker Yeah just said thats appearently whats going on. Its okish, but people jerk it like its the best manga ever drawn to paper and people who find it boring be trolls lol.

I mean this manga doesnt hold their readers well even for free and both have pretty consistent releases and have no gaps. Other high manga like slime, solo leveling, Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? or any other with alot of follows are consistent on its high views, which tells its worth keeping up with each month/week for the ones that started on here.

I mean next some crapmanga like kimi wa with 5k reads thats currently at 4 is gonna be top 3, its just retarded at this point. Most people just dont give enough of a fuck to vote, if they dont like it lol. Like i didnt for example;p
